What Romeny really did for MA as The Gov.

Post by Aquanetsuperhold »

He loves to say MA is "his state", well its not and really never was. He went to school here on Daddy's dime and his business was here but its not his. If it was "his" why did he move out so quick and not run for run for a second term? He never would have won, that's why. He left office with a 34 favorable rating. He would have been run out of town and that would have ruined his plans to run for President. You wanna know how he balanced the budget "without raising taxes"? He raised EVERY fee he possible could in most cases he doubled them. Wanna register your car or renew you drives license, it cost twice as much after Romeny go done with his increases.

Created a $15 fee requiring the blind to get an identification card proving they were blind.

Increased licensing fees on nurses, barbers, plumbers, electricians, social workers, and EMTs.

Increased the fee required to get a driver’s license.

Raised a gas tax by 400% on Massachusetts’ motorists, who were already paying a 21-cent-per-gallon state tax on gasoline.

Doubled the fees and taxes required to receive a test for lead-poisoning.

Tripled the fee for a mammography x-ray machine licenses from $100 to $300.

Increased the fee for a motor vehicle repair shop license from $100-a-year to $450 for a three-year license.

Increased the fee for filling and registering a mortgage from $20 to $150.

Doubled a state fee on milk dealers.

You get the idea. Obama has actually put together a nice list of all the crap we here in MA have to pay for now. You can check out the entire list list here http://www.barackobama.com/truth-team/e ... -middle-c/

As for being a great "bipartisan Governor", WRONG- he veto 800 times and was over turned 800 times during his term. So much for playing nice with those across the isle.

So like the Mayor of Boston said, "Mitt's all about business and when you go to hire someone for a job, you check his references and talk to past employer about his job performance." Well the people of MA wouldn't vote him in for a second term and he will loose badly here as a candidate for President. What does that tell you people?
