How can you be so loyal?

It's one thing to think one side has better ideas than another, but considering how both parties have screwed us over the years how can anyone be loyal to a politician?
Bush signs the Patriot Act and the left hates it and calls him a Nazi. Obama extends it and the Left stays very quiet.
Bush starts wars and the Right cheers him on. Obama starts or continues wars and the Right freaks the fuck out.
Obama makes it legal to jail an American citizen for life without trial and the Left stays quiet. Romney says he also would have signed the same document and he's given a pass as well.
As a Nation we freaked out over SOPA, but not this???
Seriously! What the fuck is wrong with people???

I'm not staying loyal to anyone. I typically vote Green Party, but this year I'm voting for Obama based on the Affordable Care Act alone. Voting party over policy is a travesty IMO - Repubs are crazy now and Dems have rendered themselves virtually useless.
That said, anyone who sits around waiting for the perfect candidate is going to always find themselves doing just that... sitting around waiting for a perfect candidate. There are no panaceas in politics.

He's just trolling. He keeps repeating the same crap over and over even though he's been proven wrong.
First, the left did not stay quiet. The ACLU and many others made a big deal out of it.

Second, the executive branch still has to provide citizens with due process. The NDAA can't do anything more than codify existing powers. Congress can't supersede the 4th, 5th and 6th Amendment. The Constitution does not always require govt to charge citizens or provide them with a trial when restricting liberty. Also, a citizen gets no additional protection under the 4th, 5th and 6th. Those amendments apply to people, not just citizens. So the complaint that "citizens can be jailed without trial" is phrased in a trollish and ignorant manner.
4th Amendment:
"The right of the people "
5th Amendment:
"No person"
6th Amendment:
"the accused"
Citizenship is irrelevant.

Not taking this as seriously as you do means not getting all bent out of shape the way you do. It's just sludge. Watching joey freak out is actually sort of entertaining and watching you run to his defense is also kind of funny.

No one is freaking out about this any more than they are freaking out about Paul Stanley's and Diamond Dave's preference for poles over polls.
it's not about loyalty. Even a simpleton should be able to understand this.
