My TV setup is unhooked and my election night gathering plans didn't happen, so I'm following the results on Politico.
Looking at the map so far, it's clearly going to be a long night.

It'll be over by 8:00 like last time.
My phone sucks for internetting, I will be on a bus to Echo Park to go to a gig where they promise to live stream results. I hope they don't call it until about 8:30.

This race was over last week. The only question is who will win Florida. Everything else is clear.
Right now on BetFair, if you bet a buck on Obama, you win 2 cents. If you bet a buck on Romney and he wins, you get 40 dollars.

Medical marijuana passed in Massachusetts. That should cheer up the people who were about to practice the new legalized suicide, which also passed.

As of this second I think Obama has the inside track even though Romney is leading in the vote. 60-40 advantage Obama in my opinion. Romney HAS to win Florida, North Carolina, and Virginia, all states I expect him to win. He loses one of them he is done. THEN he HAS to win Ohio plus either Colorado or Iowa. That is where it becomes tricky. I'm getting my new sign ready to go as we speak.

You're getting great odds on Intrade if you think Romney has a 40% chance of winning now. BetFair gives him a 2% chance right now. Intrade has him up around 6%.

I wouldn't bet anything with 40% odds to win.

Florida is so close it's amazing. Romney needs a miracle to win this thing. I, on the other hand, had to turn this shit off. I have a headache.

Election called before midnight.
This was not a close election.

Total asskicking. Romney humiliated. Republicans old, white, watching their power slip away, maybe for good.

Our "polls" closed 18 minutes ago but we have mail in voting and I was looking at the little vote mappy thing on MSN w/ Washington having 8% of the votes in, 60% Romney, 39% Obama and it's blue marking a win...that's fascinating math. Now it's 14% returned w/ Obama 47%, Romney 50% and still blue....in 3 minutes time

I know, I can go to bed early now.
I had no doubts he was going to be a two term president after seeing the bozo brigade of the republican party. I also hope this means Paul Ryan is a dead fish in the water. I don't like him either.
My brother in law in California is probably crying tonight-he hates Obama.

If the Republican party doesn't change they're done for. As of now they're too Tea Party like and instead of looking to become more flexible they're hunkering down. They keep this up and it's only going to be a matter of time before they implode.

I can't wait to hear Romney concede defeat.
I hear his team has been hiding and silent for a couple of hours now.

I'm loving Fox News right now. Hilarious. Romney camp is melting down, calling Fox and telling them it's not over. Rove is babbling on about something, just like he did when arguing the polls are skewed. Ohio is not settled, etc. They're hoping it is Florida 2000.
BetFair currently giving 89% (1/1.12) chance of 330-349 EV.

Congrats on the correct prediction on the electoral vote. Very well done. Although if Obama loses the popular vote, it was a close election.

LMFAO, Rove is fucking melting. They are now calling someone from the "decision desk" to double check etc. Now they are at the Romney camp.
meltdown, just as predicted. Too fucking funny.

The popular vote is irrelevant.

Fox is comfortable with calling Ohio for Obama. They say the votes that are out are in Obama country.

In selecting the President. If Romney wins the popular vote, saying the election was not close would be incorrect.

I'm heading over to Right Nation to see how big of a meltdown they are having or how much in denial they are.

Yeah, it's absolutely hilarious. Even the FOX gang are telling him he's an idiot, seriously.

He's still harping on it. Something about 50,000 votes. He's an ass. They were all over Al Gore in 2000 when he refused to concede the election-will this be 2000 all over again? I think they might be setting up for something like it with Ohio.

I was hoping it would have dragged on a bit longer, like the winner projected when the club was full. Instead I get there at 8:30, there's 10 people there and Obama already won. How anti-climatic.

my friend texted me just about the very same message last night.
hilarious Rove was in denial. too bad!
i guess Romney didn't need to write that concession speech after all because he was able to explain his loss in about 5 minutes or less. no speech needed.
