Obama Let 1 Billion Dollars in School Security Funds Lapse Before Sandy Hook Mass Shooting

President Obama sobbed on live television while trying to soothe the nation in the wake of the horrific Sandy Hook massacre in Newtown, Connecticut.
However, according to The Washington Guardian, both the president and Congress "quietly" let federal funding for school security programs lapse — out of budget concerns.
According to the Guardian, two Justice Department programs that provided more than $200 million to schools for training, security equipment and police resources over the last decade weren't renewed in 2011 and 2012.
In addition, a program that provided $800 million to put police officers inside schools was ended a few years earlier; and funding for an Education Department program to prepare schools for mass tragedies was also terminated.
The report says that the funding was cut off "even though the Government Accountability Office, the investigative arm of Congress, warned in 2007 that many 'many school district officials said that they experience challenges in planning for emergencies due to a lack of equipment, training for staff, and expertise and some school districts face difficulties in communicating and coordinating with first responders and parents.'"

What do you think is going to happen when you keep yelling "Cut spending! Cut Spending! Don't raise taxes! Don't raise taxes!"?? You can't have it both ways. You can't not raise taxes and just keep cutting funding for programs and then expect everything to stay the same.

1. return to Clinton tax rates
2. end those silly wars in Iraq and Afghan for good
3. close Guantanamo, all it does is breed new terrorists
4. reinstate the automatic weapons ban.
Failure to extend the weapons ban is what killed countless people in the past 10 years.

Automatic weapons are banned, except for those few in private hands before May 19, 1986.

Obama sucks. Killing your kids is the right thing to do. Nobody needs to grow up in a country run by this asshole.
I'm working on a healthy smack addiction to ride this fucking thing out untill we can get Hillary in there.

really?
you can't ask programs to run more cost efficiently?
you can't cut out inefficient programs?
anyone in everyday life has to make adjustments to their pay on what they can buy and what they can't.
a lot of people are on a lower income trying to budget what they can afford.
can you say the same about our government?
if they want to appeal to the people, they'd also sympathize and work on the same level as us, budgeting the deficit.
