Today, I'm actually paying about the same in taxes as I did in 2008. You know whats funny? I paid MORE in 2009 and 2010 since that is when my sales acutally came through.
$250,000 in THIS economy? Socialist please!
Higher insurance? Yeah, check to the motherfucking mark.
Like all American idiots, I have no idea whats being taken out of my check. Who can keep track? I've done bad enough over the last four years that it hasn't changed much. Actually LESS is being taken out of my check. Can anyone tell me why that is NOT a good thing?
Am I better or worse off than I was five years ago? I go with worse. At least five years ago, my clients were willing to consider betting on the future, now.... Well, lets let Steve Wynn explain it for me.
Casino mogul Steve Wynn voted for President Barack Obama in 2008, but is disgusted with his performance in office.
Obama inherited huge economic problems, but he erred by not focusing on jobs and the budget deficit, the Wynn Resorts CEO told KSNV TV in Las Vegas.
As for the deficit, Obama showed a clear understanding of the problem when running for office, Wynn says. But then Obama did nothing to solve it after he was elected, exacerbating our woes.
On the employment front, “the only thing screaming across the sky was jobs,” when Obama took office, Wynn says. “We were headed for huge unemployment. There wasn’t anything more stark than the need to focus on jobs.” Healthcare should have been priority number 10, Wynn says. “Obama turned his back on the No. 1 priority.”
Wynn knows something about job creation. “I've created about 250,000 direct and indirect jobs . . . That's exactly 250,000 more than this president, who I'll be damned if I want to have him lecture me about small business and jobs. I'm a job creator. Guys like me are job creators, and we don't like having a bulls-eye painted on our back.”
Obama is playing class warfare by “deprecating and calling a group that makes money 'billionaires and millionaires who don't pay their share,'” Wynn said. “I gave 120 percent of my salary and bonus away last year to charities, as I do most years. I can't stand the idea of being put down by a president who has never created any jobs and who doesn't even understand how the economy works.”
