RonPaul.com has been up since 1999. He waited 14 years for the site to build up a following and now he wants it. He does not have a common law trade mark in his name. There is no product that says "Ron Paul" on it or any enterprise that is called Ron Paul. Being famous is not sufficient to establish a trade mark. More is required.
