HI JOE!!!!!!

I didn't blame anyone for anything...I was merely sharing a story that I thought was amusing...This place has been kinda quite since the regime started its second term.

I do wonder why Ms. waters is so freaked out by the debt clock though...
It's just a debt clock..It's not going to hurt her or anything.
It's really a case of someone who doesn't like to face reality..no matter who created or is creating that reality.

Dear Ms. Waters...Reality is a bitch.
Have a nice day!

LMFAO, fuck you are stupid.

Obama did not add 6.5 trillion to the national debt.

The deficit was 1.47 trillion in 2008.

The policies that created a 1.4 trillion dollar deficit in 2008 added 6 trillion to the national debt since 2008.

Obama has reduced the deficit from 1.47 trillion in 2008 to 1.21 trillion in 2012. That's the largest deficit reduction in history.

12/31/2012 16,432,730,050,569.12 = 1.21 trillion dollar deficit

12/31/2007 9,229,172,659,218.31
12/31/2008 10,699,804,864,612.13 = 1.47 trillion deficit last year of Bush's presidency.

So DRJ, at what point, if ever, will you hold Obama responsible for anything? 2015/2016 the War's will be over and spending greatly reduced. Again, as I corrected you before, the reduction in the deficit spending was directly related to Iraq winding down. No Obama action contributed to that.

But all that aside, simple question--will you ever under any circumstances hold Obama responsible for anything?

He is currently responsible for reducing the deficit from 1.47 trillion to 1.21 trillion.

LMFAO @ you correcting me on anything ever.

Defense spending was 737 billion in 2008. Defense spending was 809 billion in 2012.

So you are saying that Obama reduced the deficit by increasing defense spending by 72 billion dollars.

Yes, you are an imbecile.

Sheep_Mafia wrote:But all that aside, simple question--will you ever under any circumstances hold Obama responsible for anything?
If you did not have your head up your ass, you would realize that I already held him responsible for reducing the deficit.

Deficit in 2008 = 1.47 trillion
Deficit in 2012 = 1.21 trillion

Guess what asshole? The deficit has been decreasing rapidly since 2009.

Sucks to be you bitch. You just got another unskewed poll shoved up your ass. Want to know why the GOP is called the stupid party? Look in the mirror.

Here's a question: When are you going to hold Bush and Republicans responsible for their actions by properly recognizing their part in our supposed "debt crisis?" Listening to the right wing noise machine doesn't make you seem very informed.

Bush was a failure in many respects. I don't know a whole lot of conservatives that will disagree with that and a great many were saying that while he was in office. Obviously he played a part as did the ignorant GOP congressional members who go along with his or Obama's irresponsible policies and spending. See that's not hard at all.

Pretty much all our issues go back decades through many of the Administrations and Congressional sessions. No I don't put all the blame on Obama or Bush. It's easy to point at every President and see how things got going in the wrong direction.

The deal is, we are where we are. Obama is the President, not Bush. We're not doing anything but digging a deeper debt hole under Obama. That's a simple fact that simply can't be spun or denied. DRJ is a ignorant follower too dumb to see the light. Don't follow his lead on that. Bush doesn't matter. We're into year 5 of Obama. Put some accountability on him for once.

Holding them all responsible isn't the correct answer. Someone MADE the problem, someone is FIXING the problem, despite zero help from the oppostion.

Look at what austerity has done for the countries that have instituted it, and that's all republicans want so that they have yet another chance to blame the half-black guy.

Just because he's not fixing the propblem in the way you'd like, doesn't mean he's not fixing said problem the right way. Get it?

No, I don't get it. I do not see what he is doing that is helping the matter.

But at any rate..the thought of turning off the debt clock is fucking stupid and tells me all I need to know about the Democrats in congress.

They can't handle the truth. They live in a world of make believe.

Just keep kicking the can down the road.

lol So how exactly is continuing with government spending and trillion dollar deficits fixing the problem? Look at their own projections and tell me how, even after the Afgan war wraps up, how much debt they project we will still be accumulating. Plus, anyone with an ounce of intelligence knows their projections of that are low. He has no intention of cutting spending. He has no real interest in tax reform, just using successful people as a way to attack because he has no real ideals.

Why do you think the GOP wants to cut spending? (first of all, many don't sadly) How about because we have over $16 trillion in debt that we can't possibly pay back and we are just getting in deeper and deeper. Obama came up with and supported the cuts when he was told that was a good way to politic. Now, he's against what he was for once again.

Remember ‘deficits don’t matter’? Cheney doesn’t - September 14, 2011

Dick Cheney chatted with Rush Limbaugh this week, and wouldn’t you know it, the disgraced former vice president has decided that deficits matter after all.

Former Vice President Dick Cheney was “embarrassed” when the U.S. credit rating was downgraded in August, and he hopes that the development will compel lawmakers to continue to work to address the deficit. […]

“Now, these last few months have been pretty messy,” said Cheney. “I think like a lot of people I was embarrassed when they lowered our credit rating from AAA to AA. I literally felt embarrassed for my country.”

“But I also think that the fact that we’ve gotten to this point where we are faced with a crisis in terms of the debt problem, that that’s going to give those of us who want to address that issue and fix it the leverage that we haven’t had up until now, in terms of insisting on the kinds of policies that will be painful, but in the long run are necessary if we’re going to restore full faith and credit in the United States government.”

Oh, I see. Now he’s concerned about “the debt problem.” Remember that guy who declared “deficits don’t matter”? That was the old Dick Cheney. The new Dick Cheney wants President Obama to act faster to clean up the mess he and George W. Bush left behind.

For lack of a better word, this is … funny. Cheney pushed massive tax breaks for the wealthy, and didn’t even try to pay for them. He pushed for multiple wars, and didn’t even try to pay for them, either. He supported Medicare expansion and No Child Left Behind, and like the rest of his agenda, Cheney just threw the costs onto the national credit card, running up a bill for some future president to pay.

But now he’s worried about the deficit.

No doubt the GOP played politics with the debt ceiling. My issue with Obama supporters is they act like he is somehow above that and it's just the obstructionist GOP that plays those games. It's as though they forget Obama voted no on raising the ceiling when Bush was in office(as did Harry Reid and many, many other democrats) and called it a failure of leadership (correct then and now) and irresponsible to do (correct then and now to get to that point). Obama is as bad as anyone ever has been about political games.

The racist nonsense takes away from any legitimate points you might have. I'll say this, both parties are playing their usual games at this point. At some time in the future, there will have to be people in office that will have to actually deal with our problems. For Obama supporters to pretend that's him, just ignore his record, his actions and his words.

Nah, he was just a community organizer with only political savvy. At least if your definition of political savvy is selling nonsense like "change" to a dumb political base. His issue wasn't only being a community organizer with or without political savvy, it's being nothing but a community organizer and political hack without integrity, real world experience, leadership and basic math skills and the ability to prioritize issues. Just an overall failure, not really related to political savvy--except the leadership skills deficit.

lol at you though for always trying to find a way to excuse him. Now it's he was incompetent in 2006. He said the same things in 2008 when he was lying to the voters in his campaign.

The debt is huge. Obama has added less to said debt than anyone since Eisenhower. That is a fact.

Deficit hawks sure are funny birds. They will blame anyone but the guy that actually caused the huge debt.

In fact, MOST of them voted for the guy that racked up the huge debt, but now that someone that doesn't agree with their ideology is president it's a huge problem that must be addressed NOW.

You stupid fuckers kill me.

What stings is your lack of reading comphrension. I didn't say the debt had doubled since Obama came into office. You quoted me directly and yet you still got it wrong--I said by the end of his term it will have doubled. Your article doesn't contradict that in the least. Nor do the facts. In fact, your article has them right on track to double it at over 52% doubled at the half way point. Look up their own projections and you will see the debt over $20 trillion when he's done. That's double if you can follow the math from 10 to 20.

And no you're not going to convince me that the facts aren't the facts. You are allowing yourself to be swayed by bad information but I'm not down with that.

You, like any republican, are intitled to your opinion, unfortunately, you're not intitled to make up facts. It's not Obama that saddled your kids with this "debt" they can't pay, it was Bush. I understand that hurts you to your cold, self centered, misanthopic soul, but that's the truth.

Do you seriously think Romney, with his typical right wing thinking of cutting taxes for the rich, so that even more burden, remember incurred by Bush, goes to the poor and middle class would have fixed the problem? Or the dynamic duo of McCain/Palin ( what an economic mastermind she is) would have fixed it?

The fact is Bush spent like a drunken sailor, and ALL of you right wingers didn't give a fuck.

Continue to be pissy, I don't give a fuck, you're wrong. I seriously think you all have a little Mongglio in you, in that, you know what you believe, and no amount of truth is going to change that.

To be fair, when Bush was in office, they had a democratic congress to blame.

Now they have a (barely) democratic president to blame it on.
