Great timing on this one...Obama's been out on the campaign trail claiming doom and gloom over the sequestration cuts that he was for before he was against and they give out another $250 million in aid. We're $17 trillion in the hole, with annual trillion dollar deficits and we continue with this program. Washington is completely out of touch with reality. We can't pay our bills without borrowing money but this kind of thing is ok?

Bush gave even more money when our buddy Mubarak was in control. Bush and Obama have also sent money to Pakistan.

Obviously the US has a long history of foreign aid, that's not the point. As much as anything, the timing is insulting to the taxpayers of this country. We're seeing all the fearmongering going on about our budget yet we can continue with the foreign aid. We need successful people to give more of "their fair share" so that we can alledgedly not continue getting deeper in debt and to help others in this country.

The bottom line is that sooner than later, things are going to have to change in this country. The politicians seem unaware of the debt or myriad of other problems except when it suits them to use for their own game. I for one can't wait for the time that ends, though it will almost certainly have to be ended by the force of fiscal failure.

I wonder if they (The U.S.A.) will ever stop with the pretense. Just say what you're doing. Imperialism. Nationalism. Tell the people its our way or the highway. The fucking country thinks like that anyway with all that "We'll put a boot in your ass" rhetoric. Rev up the machine. Oversell it to the people. Tell them we are invading X country because we want their shit. Don't sugar coat it thinking you're gonna trick them.
