I am democrat/liberal that is married to a Venezuelan and we are NOT distraught, whose entire family is there (they all hate Chavez) and trust me, no one is shedding a tear of sorrow, tears of joy. He is/was a dictator for lack of a better term.


The VP booted 2 out of the US Embassy today saying they caused Chavez's cancer. How fucking stupid. His party there is so far left to socialism/communism they are like the 'leftist' version of the Tea Party. They don't believe in facts, science or logic. LOL

Been there 9x in about 12 years since 99'. Watched it turn to shit each and every time I go back. Been to US Embassy there and walked the streets of Caracas (not safe).

The healthcare system there is not good and anyone that has a little bit of extra coin buys private insurance. Did a research paper on the HC system there last year for my HealthCare Economics course. I figured I had a lot of family & friends there that use it, buy it and some doctors they could help with insight.

The Venezuelan people are great, hell, most Miss Universe winners have been from there and they need to rise up. Special election in 60 days and Henrique Caprilles is running again. He lost to Chavez in October but it was close. Chavez has been in office since 98' and he had 3 good lies he told Jorge Ramos in 98'.

2. Will you nationalize the media? no, we have 1 government run station and that is enough. - he nationalized the media

3. Will you nationalize private companies? No - we need private companies to help our economy and work together. - here is the list of all the companies he nationalized
