The problems with the Obamacare website are great theater for the media, but since the health-care law passed it's bent the cost curve, former Treasury Secretary Lawrence Summers told CNBC on Wednesday. Health-care reform has cut costs as a percentage of GDP, he said in a "Squawk Box" interview, adding the benefits of Obamacare are already beyond what anyone thought possible. Summers had been a leading candidate to take succeed Ben Bernewanke as chairman of the Federal Reserve, until President Barack Obama chose Fed Vice Chair Janet Yellen.

CPI-U News Release Companion File only goes back to 2012, it does not include the data in that graph. Here is the health insurance data.

It clearly shows that health insurance inflation was taking off in 2010 but after the Obamacare regulations were implimented, health insurance inflation slowed dramatically.



If you had an ounce of sense, you'd realize that after several years of deflation, health inflation had a catch up year in 2010 and now prices are growing about 2%/year. Prices were falling due to Bush's recession. The headline CPI fell during the same period. These price changes had nothing to do with the health care law. It's the economy stupid.



From Oct 2006 to Oct 2013, health insurance costs grew 2.37%/year (123.388/104.7)^1/7 = 1.0237395067.

I tried healthcare.gov and had no problems at all. I already had Anthem Blue Cross before Obamacare but on the site you can opt out before the confirmation page. Everything went very smoothly so as usual the Repukes are lying their asses off!

I challenge any of you to try and sign up and it will work just fine!
