Ah! Nature.

This morning when I went out to get the paper, I saw a couple of crows feasting on the torn-up carcass of what used to be a rabbit.
Always nice to see nature in action, isn't it?
I realize this reads like a Lounge thread, but there are certain people I don't want to post in it, so there you go.

When I still lived in Ohio, Potato killed a bunny in my back yard. I tried to pull it out of her mouth but it tore in half and she swallowed her half before I could get to it. it was impressive.

"Swallowed Her Half", the new single from Pigeon Eye. Listen for it on your local rock station.

I'm sorry, but my local rock station plays nothing but Nickelback and Godsmack. Send me your CD when it comes out.

Yeah, I doubt we'll get much support from U.S. radio anyway.

A bear attacked a goat this morning. I guess this is the thread for it.

As in you actually saw this occur, or is it just word around town/news?

A valid question.

It was on the news. There have been three bear attacks in East Asheville in the past few weeks. Two dogs and the goat. I hope I never see a bear attack anything.

In the future, I will stick to eyewitness accounts in all of my vicious nature-related posts.

Not necessary at all. I think you know that.

Nah, you're fine.
On another note, I saw the turkey that hangs out on my road this morning. If I can get off my ass, I'll post the crappy photo I took of her.

Yesterday we had a Jack Russell Terrier that had been bitten on the nose by a rattlesnake. The snake was trying to come into her house so she attacked it and got bitten, but still ate the snake. I sort of doubt my dogs would go that far for me.

We found a dead squirrel stuck head first in the lattice at the bottom of my back building last week. It had some body injuries, so we are guessing the neighbours cat got it. My wife got it out and buried it under a tree.
In other bear news, my neighbour up the street had a bear fuck up his garbage the other night.

I just saw a spider the size of my thumb INSIDE my house. Luckily, Potato ate it. Way to go, nature.

I take it back. She didn't eat it. Benny is working on that and I'm going to die of a heart attack soon.

Somehow neither dog ate it. The dead spider is now tangled in Potato's ear hair. I'm going to the hospital for chest pains that will turn out to be a panic attack now.

Don't worry Bridget. It's dead. I know things. Ok, not much -- but I still know some things.
