Header
An extremely low-budget movie about rednecks who drill holes in people's heads and fuck them. Insane overacting that only adds to how bizarre it all is. Not great but worth a watch if you want to freak some of your friends out.

"Terror Train" is on Fox Movie Channel.
It really doesn't hold up 30 years later though some of the outfits are fun.

That trailer showed one of the dumbest parts of the movie - the ATF guy asking what a header is. They find a corpse with a hole drilled in its skull and semen in its brain. The agent spends the next 20 minutes trying figure out what his co-worker meant when he called it a "header."Classy Fred Blassy wrote:^^^^^^^^^^^^^

The movie gets by on weirdness alone. Were it not for the bizarre premise, it would be no different than anything that's been put out by Brain Damage or The Asylum.

Crazy Heart - 8/10: Jeff Bridges was awesome, songs were cool, hell even Colin Farrell with a southern accent didn't bother me. The relationship between Bridges & Gyllenhaal seemed a bit rushed though.
An Education - 7/10: Had no idea what this movie was about, but I enjoyed it. Carey Mulligan was captivating. Kind of a corny ending, although I think it might be a true story, but anyway, a pretty good flick.

One of the better sci-fi movies I've seen lately. Once it got going, I really enjoyed it. The mutated creatures looked pretty cool as well.
Gamer - 5/10
A mindless action flick. Not horrible, but it's worth a watch if you get bored and nothing else is on.

This movie's been done a million times before but I thought the approach was interesting. I really like how the movie started; I thought that was clever.

Re: Rate the last movie you saw
2012 5/10- typical end of the world flick full of nothing but great effects and chickenshit near death escape sequences and a terrible script.
the imaginarium of dr. parnassus- 3/10- I was hoping Ledger wouldn't go out with a bad movie, and maybe his death put an end to any chance this movie had. I may have given it a 10 or even 20 if i'd dropped acid or beem high as fuck, but alas i was only slightly buzzed and this made it worse as I yearned to get to the nearest bar as quickly as possible. really good effects but the storyline was all over the place. def belongs next to legers other bad choice "the brothers grimm" I liked every other flick the guy did though i've yet to see "the order" anyone seen this? is it worth a rental?

The Book of Eli - 6/10. Was better than I expected. Had a couple of really cool scenes, but the ending was weak. Denzel was great, as always, and Mila Kunis is hot as hell.

"Big Fan" (new on DVD and also on streaming Netflix) 6.5/10
It's a dark comedy that seemed to combine Taxi Driver, The Fan and Talk Radio with the trend a couple years ago of sports figures being rowdy at strip clubs. It could have been done better, but still good for a low budget film.

Just saw that one. 4/10. Really terrible script and the effects weren't all that. How many times were they literally racing against fire, lava, smoke, water and all kinds of shit???. Gone Baby Gone - Fantastic movie. Put off watching it for the longest time, and I wish I hadn't now. One of the better movies I've seen recently. Ben Affleck really surprised me by how good of a director he is.

The bog scene is the most physically uncomfortable I have been watching a movie. Brillant and Brutal. Would have gave it a ten out of ten but the random bitch eating lobster in hellish barn scene pissed me off so much. Such a dumb part in a brillant movie. That kid was also brillant in that movie
Kinda ironic that one of the best Russian films happen to be anti-nazi, but now, Russia has a huge population of neo-nazis.

World's Greatest Dad
This movie appears to be marketed as a typical Robin Williams family comedy but it is definitely not. It's about a guy whose son hangs himself while jerking off so his writer father composes a suicide note to make it look like it was on purpose.
It's definitely a dark comedy in the vein of Observe and Report; maybe not quite that off-putting but still pretty dark.
Directed by Bobcat Goldthwait, with a cameo appearance by Krist Novoselic of Nirvana!

Book of Eli: 6/10 - About what I expected from this kinda movie.
Although it was a little confusuing at the end.
Legion: 4/10 - A friggin confusing mess of a movie. Remind me never to watch any movies with Angels in them because they always end up sucking. This was so bad, that I walked right into another movie to try to erase the memory of seeing this one. Unfortunatley, I walked right into.....
The Lovely Bones: 2/10 - UGH!!! The only reason I even gave this flick a chance was because it was a song on Josh Todd's solo disc. My mistake. This movie was pretty bad. There is a scene where Mark Walberg's character wakes up from a nap and I thought "Ugh, I had a bad dream that I was in this crappy M. Knight Shamaylan movie." It was MST3K riffs such as this that kept me interested the rest of the way... Maybe I should have went to Avatar instead.
On a positive note, I was really surprised at one movie I rented:
UP: 8/10: Call me crazy, but this was a pretty good movie even though it was geared for kids. The five minute montage of the old guys life alone was worth the price of the rental. This will no doubt win the Oscar for best animated movie, but I also think it should be one of the nominees for best picture as well.
I also rented the Hurt Locker and The Hangover, but haven't seen them yet.

The were some very well done sequences but those were nullified by the WTF? portions of the film.
The "payoff" at the end was funny though, the entire theater burst out laughing
