That was some hardcore self destruction by the Ravens in the 3rd quarter. :|

Steelers surprised me. Big Ben played well, the defense was putting a solid amount of pressure on Flacco and getting turnovers... perhaps I've been underrating (or to be more accurate, ignoring) them this year. I wanted the Ravens to win, but whatever. Oh, I only caught the second half 'cause I hit the mall with some friends. But that third quarter was the pivotal one, wasn't it?

Wonderful job by the Packers today, too. Looking forward to tomorrow's games.

All they needed to do was be careful with the ball and that game was over. It made for a great ending, though.

I think they are the team to beat. They are the most balanced team in all 3 phases and Rodgers is playing great. They are well coached and won't shoot themselves in the foot. I can't see anyone beating them if they play like they played tonight.

But it was clear there were quite a few missed calls and no-calls at the end of the game that benefitted Pittsburgh. If you didn't see that, you're either blind, or know nothing about football. I already know the latter is true.

However, I wouldn't go as far saying Pittsburgh cheated. Not like they were caught with videos of the opponent's signals and walk throughs or anything like that.
The idea in football is that the refs aren't supposed to be flag-happy and need to let the little stuff go and only call the egregious penalties.
So WHY did they call a hold on the kick off return when the player who supposedly committed the penalty only made a clean block from the proper angle. WHY did they call defensive holding on a defensive lineman on a running play? Unheard of. Your analysis makes no sense. If the refs truly were not flag happy, this would have been a different game. They also missed an obvious hold on Pittsburgh late in the game on a Mendenhall hand off. PROOF:

In the Rapist vs Murderer bowl, the Rapist came out on top.

At the beginning of the third quarter in the Ravens/Steelers game, my FB front page was filled with shit like "Ravens showed up!" "Steelers didn't come to play!" "Too bad Big Ben!". At the end of the game it was "Damn, Ravens didn't show up" "Steelers were there to win!". I'm friends with a ton of fucking tards.

Right now I'm 2 for 2, and I went against all my friend's picks.

It's always hilarious to watch Greg claim Manning to be the undisputed greatest of all time!!1!1! and then resort to "You obviously know nothing about football" every time he gets owned on his claims with actual stats and his belief that some players picking the best should be the mantra for the best quarterback..(only when they choose Manning of course)

In that thought I guess Michael Vick is the greatest since he was unanimously chosen for the Pro Bowl this year for the NFC by players, coaches and fans
(over Manning who is second string to Brady for the AFC...ooooops  ) ..

I've come to the conclusion that P13 doesn't like Football. He's sees penalties every time two players make contact and he thinks everything should be called. His dream is to start the PFL - the Poizond13 Fairyball League, where each team gets 10 yards of real offense and 500 yards of penalties.

But they also benefited when Suggs wasn't called for going low on Rapistberger on the play right before the fumble that was picked up and run in for a Balt TD. There were a few penalties that were missed and a couple that were iffy but I don't think that either team got the benefit of favoritism by the officials.

I agree I don't think anyone really benefited from the calls. But fuck someone earlier posted that the ref's didn't call much! I can't remember seeing a game with as many flags as that first half. Fuck every second play had a flag. More flags than the UN.

I'm 2-2 as well. Now let's get the Seahawks(I know its a longshot but what the fuck, I never liked the Bears) and Patriots through and I'll be 4-4.

I think the Packers are the team to beat. They really opened up a can of whoop ass on Atlanta, I didn't think it would be that one sided. They just dominated every aspect of the game.

Baltimore didn't lose that game because of the officiating, but they got jobbed more than the Steelers did IMO. Either way, the officiating in that game sucked.

No offence to Seahawks or Jets fans, put I really want to see the Bears and Pats win now. Bears/Packers and Pats/Steelers would be two epic battles for the conference titles and set us up for a really good Super Bowl.

By the way, clear hold on that punt return and it was right at the play so it had to be called.

Everyone that has objectively analyzed this on TV has agreed it was a good call.

We learned yesterday that good teams make adjustments at halftime and come out looking good in the 2nd half. We also learned that slightly less good teams can't handle the pressure and fold in the 2nd half. Jets are a nice story, but I wouldn't rejoice just yet.

Yes, it is.

Say, what's going on at Lucas Oil today? Tractor Pull? Swap meet?
