Jets secondary is making up for all the shit they talked. They backed it up. Great performance by them tonight.
Re: NFL 2010 Thread
Fuckin' Jim Nantz complaining about the celebrations there - that's a dude that's never played sports in his life. Shut the fuck up, faggot.

Have to agree NS... Have to admit, there was almost a chance for Brady and Co to score 14 points in under two minutes there..
No more Colts or Patriots and one of my favorite teams still on the ROAD to the Superbowl..

So how was the crowd at Lucas Oil field today? They didn't show the Colts game in my area..
Oh well at least Lickety didn't make a thread claiming the Patriots road BACK to the Superbowl started Sunday, nor did he make a bet on them and back out like a little bitch 10 minutes later..

Wasn't this meant to be a 'rebuilding year' for the Patriots? All this talk about them being the clear winners didn't pop up right at the start of the season.

Re: NFL 2010 Thread
At the start of the season I predicted New England would win 10 games and get knocked out in the divisional round as this was a rebuilding year. A 14-2 season was much better than expected, and Brady had a great season and should get the MVP. The Patriots are still a very young team and it's hard to know what rookies will do in their first playoff game. Still it's a great season for a team rebuilding that has 3 of the first 33 picks in this year's draft and should be competitive for quite some time.

Re: NFL 2010 Thread
Not a Pats fan, but they need to get back to playing defense, and stop trying to outscore people. That has not been a championship formula for them.
Re: NFL 2010 Thread
WRONG. The Pats were EXPOSED, EXACTLY like I said they would be not long ago. They lack talent on both sides of the ball. They have a weak defense that can easily be taken advantage of. Their offense is safe and efficient but that will only take you so far. People called me crazy, but my predictions on this team were SPOT ON. I will take my credit now.SkyDog112046 wrote:At the start of the season I predicted New England would win 10 games and get knocked out in the divisional round as this was a rebuilding year. Re: NFL 2010 Thread
They have been forced into that mode recently because of the young secondary and the injuries up front. They have been winning by getting up a couple of scores and forcing the other team into making mistakes that the athletic players in the secondary can capitalize on. What they haven't been successful at is playing smash mouth on defense due to the inexperience of all their replacement players. They lost Warren, Brace, Pryor, Wright and Cunningham up front and with their recent turnover of veterans over the past few seasons it's tough to make it up with practice player guys. I'm sure they will address their D-line in the draft. I wouldn't be shocked if they used their first 3 picks to draft players for the O & D lines.Tenacious_Dio wrote:Not a Pats fan, but they need to get back to playing defense, and stop trying to outscore people. New England wasn't exposed today. They just didn't get anything out of their 1st & 2nd year players and that happens some times in their first playoff game. I don't think too many Patriots fans are upset as nobody expected 14 wins in a rebuilding year.

Yea-... I'm sure not many Pats fans are upset that they were the #1 seed with home field advantage throughout and got humiliated at home in the divisional round.SkyDog112046 wrote:Yeah, your predictions were great - you picked the Colts to win the Superbowl.poizond13 wrote:WRONG. C'mon, dude. I work with a fuck load of Pats fans and they were all for sticking it to the Jets this week after Ryan ran his mouth the other week when comparing Manning and Brady. After the run in where the Pats won a bunch of games and Brady threw no ints, all the Pats fans I know were predicting another ring for Bill and Tom. They'll be gutted, but as I'm off tomorrow, I won't get to enjoy it until Tuesday.SkyDog112046 wrote: I don't think too many Patriots fans are upset as nobody expected 14 wins in a rebuilding year.

It's not just Pats fans that were predicting another Pats ring this year. This had been a bizarre playoffs so far.MickeyG wrote:C'mon, dude. True. There is a big difference between what Pats fans expected in September and what they expected in January.MickeyG wrote:C'mon, dude. I understand how the dude felt, but yeah, the way he acted in that clip seemed a bit... contrived.

Re: NFL 2010 Thread
The Super Bowl will be the Jets and Packers, with the Packers winning. If the Jets can beat New England, they will beat the Steelers. The Steelers are overhyped and had an easy schedule, plus the beating they took from the Ravens took a lot out of them. The Packers are playing the best football at the best time, they would mangle the Steelers if they somehow made it.
