Father aside, Greg Campbell has been awesome this year for the B's. He's under a lot of pressure and constantly asked about shit that has nothing to do with him and he handles it well.

No more divers. Captain of the squad got traded to Anaheim, quickly wore out his welcome, and now resides in Vancouver.

Seriously though, if Washington/Pittsburgh, Montreal, say Buffalo and the New York Rangers are the final 4 seeds in the East, who do you feel safe against if you're a top 4 seed? You're either going against an offensive powerhouse or Price/Miller/Lundqvist. Remember last year? We wound up with 7 vs 8 in the Conference Final.

And if,IF the Leafs can keep up the pace they've been on since the all-star break I don't think any of the top teams will take them lightly either.They've beaten all of them during the past while and they skated rings around the Flyers last night on the way to a big win,maybe the biggest of the year so far.Reimer's been awesome in net,Phaneuf seems to have finally turned things around & is playing like they hoped he would and Kessel is lighting it up since the Lupul trade.It's been a pretty desolate decade for us Leaf fans but it sure is great to see those kids playing their guts out instead of watching a bunch of old fucks out for a skate.It's still an uphill battle for sure,having to pass two teams with 15 or so games left but there really is some optimism in Leaf-Land for a change.

Ah, Leafs fans, god bless you. You DO know they are doing their typical - "we've traded all our assets, are out of the race and playing for jobs next year, hence there's no pressure" playoff run, right? The future is dark in TO, very dark.

Ahh,Habs fans...never ones to give the Leafs any credit,even when they beat your asses (and the refs too) just a week ago.This run isn't like the usual "old farts playing for next year's contracts" shit of years gone by,it's a bunch of kids,most of whom are under 25 and under contract (except for MacArthur),finally being able to get playing time and show what they're capable of.The Leafs have seen the future and it isn't in throwing big money at washed-up players,it's in rebuilding through youth and giving them time to develop no matter how frustrating it might be.If (and it's still a big if) they scrape into the playoffs this year,mark my words..they will put together a better run then the midgets of Les Habitants.There,I said it! Leafs won't make playoffs.

The Leafs good young players are only good on the Leafs. They'd be 3rd or 4th liners anywhere else. Grabovski, Kulemin, Kadri, Bozak, Reimer, Aulie, et al couldn't play on most NHL teams. This year, or any other. The cupboard is bare. The Leafs traded too mnay picks over the last decade, and the young talent they have on the Marlies is middling at best. They might eke out an 8 spot every few years, but I doubt it. Burke is a collosal fuck up, and he only looks good because Ferguson was even worse.

And Leafs/Habs will always play close games, no matter where they are in the standings. Same as Habs/Bruins, Leafs/Bruins, and all the other old rivalries.

If the league would punish all player on all teams there would be no need for a player like Gillies . Unfortunately the NHL lets the Bruins and Pens do what they want, therefore people hire a goon like Gillies to protect their superstars. What Clusterfuck did was 10 times as bad as what Gillies did, and he got nothing but 2 minutes.

I'm not sticking up for Gillies either. The ref called the penalty on Clusterfuck. Gillis is an idiot for doing that the first game back, but there is a double standard.

They just got off damn near scott free for the Penguins fiasco.

A total of 13 games and 100 grand ain't scott free.
Lucic not getting ANYTHING (yet) is scott free.

Who else besides Martin and Gillies desereved to be suspended for the Pens game? Just because the Pens got the shit beat out of them doesn't mean the Isles deserve more suspensions. It takes two to dance. THe Isles weren't fighting themselves out there.

Gillies deserved more than he got, and with this shit now, he should be out for the season. Both teams were at fault for that fiasco, but the Islanders were the most responsible, no way around that. Gillies will be back just in time for the playoffs, too bad he will be watching them on TV.

You have the dirtiest player in the NHL on your team. You should always remember that. What Cooke did to Tytiun (sp?), was way worse than what Gillies did to Clusterfuck. Don't be a hypocrite like Mario. The Pens fucked with and laughed at the Isles all year, and the dog bit back. The Pens are no longer laughing.

I don't think the Pens will win the cup. They have their two best players injured, and too many other players are injured. The winner is going to come from the Western Conference.

It's really wide open this year,I can't really see any team as a runaway favourite.Vancouver have been playing great but their recent playoff history hasn't been good,especially Luongo's.The Hawks are getting hot at the right time but I'd never bet against Detroit,they always seem to find a way to win.In the east,all the teams from 1 to 6,maybe even 1 to 8 are a toss-up.It should be an interesting playoff year this time 'round
