I don't fucking remember the last time I marked out like that!!!! Seriously had to be WCW when Warrior appeared or Goldberg beat Hogan for the belt at Georgia Dome.
That was nothing short of amazing!

That was the best PPV in years. I can't remember the last time I was that genuinely excited for a match.TheInfiniteStaircase wrote:I have to say, tonight was the first time since I was a kid where I got that wrapped up in a PPV. Great fuckin job!

I loved how they cheered the Miz hobbling back... then rabidly booed Rey Mysterio for eliminating him. How unruly and pro-heel is a crowd when Rey gets booed like that?!?
The Sheamus/Kane Doomsday Device in Chicago was also a great touch!

Those matches were golden as well. I really thought Miz was going to steal the Raw MITB win. Got quite a laugh out of Mysterio getting booed.Garbageman wrote:I loved how they cheered the Miz hobbling back... then rabidly booed Rey Mysterio for eliminating him. They should put Sheamus and Kane together for awhile as a tag-team. The Whiteys...

The Cena vs. Punk match was awesome.....loved that Chicago crowd. Obviously Punk isn't leaving afterall....which kind of sucks.....was hoping he would head over to TNA.

Punk leaving at this point for good would be the worst decision anyone could make. I hope they give him a few months off to rest and come back...Leppardmania wrote:The Cena vs. Punk match was awesome.....loved that Chicago crowd. I'd like to see Punk and Del Rio face each other at Summerslam, but there's no way Cena will not be in the title picture, so it could very well be a triple threat match with the stipulation that if Punk drops the belt, Cena is rehired.
Either way this all plays out, I'm excited and this has been the best WWE television in years.

Re: The New (Spam Free) Never Ending Wrestling Thread
Anyone think McMahon is throwing Ring Of Honor some money and cross-promotion (perhaps as an FU to TNA), and Punk may actually show up there with the belt? It's crossed my mind. Think ECW wrestlers "buying tickets" to RAW...

That'd be pretty cool actually...especially with the rumored ROH TV deal soon...Monty610 wrote:Anyone think McMahon is throwing Ring Of Honor some money and cross-promotion (perhaps as an FU to TNA), and Punk may actually show up there with the belt? Re: The New (Spam Free) Never Ending Wrestling Thread
i actually found myself saying "YEAH!" at the end of the Christian and CM Punk matches. I think the last time I got that into something was when Bret Hart wore the steal plate under his shirt when Goldberg speared him. That or, like Artemis said, when Warrior showed up in WCW.Captain Morgan wrote:That was the best PPV in years. I felt like WWE Creative read all of the internet talk about WWE recently and all of the predictions for this match and they really decided to play with people's emotions...
(Spoilers for anyone who still plans on watching)
1st, they made it seem like Cena was gonna get a clean pin several times during the match or maybe even a tap out (which would have been lame)...Then they make you think they're going to pull a Montreal Screwjob, which was a nice touch, but that gets the kibosh...Then Punk actually fuckin WINS! ...But they make you think, oh well, here comes money in the bank, punk loses the title back to WWE, but Punk fuckin escapes that fate. Really well done. The first half of the match in my opinion kinda sucked, but the second half along with the ending really made up for it. Supposedly no-one in the WWE other than McMahon, Punk, Cena and the Ref had any knowledge of how the match was going to end going into it tonight. And Punk is said to be advertised for RAW tomorrow night.
I thought Miz was gonna win, and frankly was excited when he came running back out, but was still satisfied with a Del Rio win and thought him ripping the mask off of Rey was a great touch as was Christian spitting in Orton's face. That was great.

There is no way they can give Punk time off right now. The man is RED-HOT, and may be on the verge of making a late 90's Austin-like impact....no way Vince lets him sit on the sidelines now.I hope they give him a few months off to rest and come back...

I can only hope...time off has been a big factor in Punk resigning. We'll see. Punk being on TV with the belt would be great TV.Leppardmania wrote:There is no way they can give Punk time off right now. I was hoping for a Miz win in the Raw MITB match - that crowd was about to destroy Rey. A Bourne win in that match would have been cool as well.
