It seems that he is not well liked.
he was booed at the weigh in, and the buzz
around the web is how he finished Machida & basically dropped
the guy after he went to sleep doesnt sit well with many.
Why do you think he is not well liked?

I think it's cus he puts up this religious goody two shoes front while sending out an arrogant and cocky vibe.
The way he looks away at the stare in like he's above the whole thing, and comes crawling at his opponent when the fight starts...I would love to see someone just kick him in the face when he does that.
He comes off as a self centered brat everytime he opens his mouth.
Also ranted about how he never signs anything when a fan comes up to him with a replica belt...what the hell?
Great fighter, but I wanna see someone wipe that smirk off his face. Probably not gonna happen anytime soon though. His standup is nothing to write home about (yet) but along with his reach and Greco he may be unbeatable for the next years.

Not a fan, I hope he moved up to HW, where power can overcome his reach and speed.

This. I thought the same thing. Being a Christian I have to cringe when I see Jones say some of the things he does. I just chalk it up to immaturity. After he gets a fistful of humility at some point he'll be better off. His "God is good" comment when asked about his new Bentley made me wince. God is good whether you get that car or not, knucklehead. I would have rather heard him say "I'm grateful that I was able to afford a car I always dreamed of having" rather than potentially having it look to the average fight fan like if you don't have nice things then somehow God is holding out on you. I like Benson Henderson too but he also seems pretty immature. Matt Hughes on the other hand, seems like he "gets it" when it comes to his faith and walk with God.mullet_head wrote:I think it's cus he puts up this religious goody two shoes front while sending out an arrogant and cocky vibe.
