Did anyone watch the fights last wednesday? If the ME was 5 round Diego would've won it. Also it was awesome seeing Dave "jiujitsu doesn't work" Herman look like a child in Struve's mount.

I missed the fights. I had to work. I found it odd being on a wednesday.
I think ALL main events regardless of title implications or not should be five rounds. The Hendo/Shogun fight proved that.

That's a lot of UDs.
As the fight goes into later rounds I think Edgar is going to catch Henderson with a shot & finish him. I hope Edgar doesnt get caught in the first rounds like the Maynard fights. If so, that might spell trouble.
The Jake Shields fight has boring written all over it.

Well I don't think either Edgar nor Bendo will finish each other, it will be an excellent fight, though. I think the Page/Bader fight will go a little like Page/Hammil, and Sheilds will probably decision Akiyama unless Akiyama ends it quick. His gas tank was suspect at 185, I can only imagine it's worse at 170.

UFC 145 look knida meh outside the ME (although Rory Mac is fighting, so that's a plus), but 146 looks stellar so far

Confirmed fights-
Middleweight bout: Jason Miller vs. C.B. Dollaway
Welterweight bout: Dan Hardy vs. Duane Ludwig
Heavyweight bout: Gabriel Gonzaga vs. Shane del Rosario
Featherweight bout: Diego Brandao vs. Darren Elkins
Lightweight bout: Jacob Volkmann vs. Paul Sass
Light heavyweight bout: Kyle Kingsbury vs. Glover Teixeira

in the works (not officially announced yet)

Reem vs. JDS
Barboza vs. Dunham

I'm looking foward to seeing Dan hardy get counter punched into a pink slip and seeing Volkman get Sassangled

I think they will all go to Decision. Maybe some of the way Undercard will have some action. I don't see this being a fun card at all.

Man, you're cynical as fuck. I think this will be a great card, just because a fight doesn't have a finish doesn't mean it's boring. Sometimes two fighter give it there all and are just to even in skills to put each other away (which is how I see the title fight going)

A fight that doesn't have a finish is much more likely to be boring than a fight with a finish, though. For every incredible Guida/Sanchez, you have to put up with 10 GSP-style decisions.

I don't mean to come off that way. Put putting Bader/Jackson for a co-main is shit. I don't think decisions are bad, just some are extremely boring, I believe this event has all the makings to be like that. I've been wrong before.

I agree that putting Bader/Jackson as the co-main event is shit. Jackson is in the twilight of his career, & when was the last time Bader won? I gotta think about that.
On the flipside, we all know that Frankie & Henderson are going to bring it big time.
The Pettis fight should be a good one as well.

Yeah, I guess I see your point. The Page/Bader fight will probably be a snoozer like the Page/Hammil fight, but I think the other fights will be good. Who knows? Maybe fighting in front of a Japanese crowd will light a fire under Rampage and we'll see a spectacular KO finish.

Jackson really really wanted to fight in Japan so that's a good thing.
I just cant stand Bader. Like I said, when was the last time he won a fight.

He made short work of Jason Brilz not too long ago. The Jones loss didnt hurt him too bad, no shame in losing to the champ. The Tito loss sure did, though. Being someone's only win in since 2006 doesn't look good on your resume.

I saw the ufc insider thingy or whatever its called to promote 144.
Ben Henderson has quite a story.
I'm rooting for Frankie, but if Henderson wins I'm happy for the guy.

He gives up 20% of his purse. He said he had an injury that avoided him from going all out during training.
On one of DW's video blogs it shows him backstage with Rampage & DW asks him his weight, and his response was "you don't wanna know".
Is it safe to say that if he loses, he retires?

I actually thought after the movie he was done. I'd could see him being done after this. Or maybe one last fight against King Mo. That was the rumored fight before he got caught on the drugs.

He is fighting Ryan Bader, so the chance of him losing are slim.

Other than the Rampage fight, it was very very good night of fights.
The Frankie fight was a lot closer than the appearance of the fighters at the end of the fight. It could've gone either way. What ever happened to the champion has the edge in close fights?
Henderson always looks a weightclass above who he is fighting. He looked much bigger than Guida & the same with Frankie.
Boy, that Pettis kick/knockout was something wasnt it?
Henderson vs Pettis seems the logical next fight. Although the Nate Diaz/Jim Miller fight could happen. But Henderson took care of Miller so
that cancels that unless Diaz wins.
What about the comeback of Tim Boetch(spelling)? The guy he fought is a tin can. Remember how he got his ass handed to him against Anderson Silva?
Impressed with Jake Shields.
What I liked most about tonight was how everybody brought it. There were no fights where a guy was just trying to survive until the end. All fighters fought until the very end.

Good night of fights for sure, even though I lost my ass. Man, that Boetch comeback was something else, and as always Edgar proved he's a fucking beast. The main event could have gone either way but I thought Henderson had the slight edge. Also, how about that drop Rampage did on Bader? Amazing that Bader just shook it off.

Excellent night of fights. Dana said Pettis is next in line, but Frank feels he deserves a rematch since he had to rematch twice, and I kinda agree with Frankie, but if they did that it wouldn't be fair to Pettis since it would be the second time he's been told to wait for a shot he was promised. I say Pettis vs. Edgar for next shot at bendo, give Nate Diaz the title shot after that if he beats Jim Miller.

It was good to see Gomi finally get a win, I think Gsot would have probably subbed him, though, so he's lucky he got injured.

Holy shit, Hunt is on a winning streak in the UFC. This guy is underrated as fuck, I don't think he'll ever get near the title because of his limited grappling and gas tank, but he's always entertaining in the first round. I wanna see him fight the Johnson/Barry winner

Shit Rampage looked slow as hell, he should rematch Shogun next, makes sense to me since they're both on the decline. Like most of that division's top guys I guess.

Henderson vs Edgar was great, so was the Pettis fight, I really wanna see a Henderson-Pettis rematch.
Nice to see Gomi win but he didn't look great.

What I found funny was how Rogan was swinging from Akiyama's nuts the whole time.
-"WOW he is looking GREAT"!
-"Jake Shield is connecting more Joe".
-"But he NEEDS to do so to setup the takedown, but sexyama is just shrugging him off. He looks FANTASTIC". Hahaha classic rogan.
Also liked the "he needs to go kamikaze on him" line.
I like Akiyama, great skillset, but for some reason fails to put it all together.

Hunt rules, when I loaded the fight video on mmatko and saw it was only 4 minutes I fucking knew the frog got ktfo.

I had Akiyama in that fight in a bet with my dad, and I noticed the same thing about Rogan. He was all over Aki for the first round, and then around the middle of the second round he finally started realizing he wasn't doing anything. I still like Joe, though.

Hadn't seen Hunt before this, and was fooled by his size. I'm getting ready to jump on his bandwagon now.

If you haven't seen Hunt before check out his fights against Crocop, both the k1 and the Pride one, for starters. In the first one he survives the then lethal Mirko's high kick to the face and stands up like he's used to it.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yLyGp-oX6eI

In the second one he takes high kicks, axe kicks and never stops going forward, even puts Mirko running from him.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UTVdLmJvuJU

Best chin in the business along with Shogun's.

First round is missing here, but you can find it with a google search.
