He released this statement through his publicist Friday night:

“I've made some mistakes, and have no excuses. I am using the tools I've learned to move forward rather than backwards, and will be open to talking about the details in the days to come. It was hard not to feel sorry for the Chargers. Virtually any other team that year would have drafted Leaf #2.

So he's the biggest bust in NFL draft history, and now he's also completely broke.

He's going the Art Schilister route. He'll be in and out of jail for the rest of his life most likely.

I could see perhaps some kind of rehab/probation for the first arrest but to get arrested again just a couple of days later he's probably going to do some time.

Speaking of being a bust in the NFL since the Colts got Manning instead of Leaf wouldn't it be funny if Luck turns out to be just like Leaf lil pp would probably kill himself.

You never know how this shit will work out.

But NFL personell really should have known better with Leaf. This guy blew off his pre-draft interviews, was partying in Vegas...while Peyton was doing the "aww shucks" routine we all know and love today. It should have been pretty clear to people that Leaf's heart wasn't into it and his attitude just maybe wasn't what it should have been.
