No excuses in the world can change the fact that The colts werent good enough to win their division,or the fact that RG3 is being awarded by experts while George sits at home with nothing in his hands except maybe some pube like hairs when He's scratching that dumb patchy ass jr high beard.

11-5 > 10-6

Right now Luck is already watching film and getting ready to work with teammates in preparation for next season. Meanwhile, RGTebow is forced to rehab and wonder if he can ever play football again. Advantage Luck.

Divison champs>>>>>>>>>wild card
and if George is watching any kind of film, it's hopefully with someone smart enough to explain to his dumb ass that it's better to complete the ball to the guys wearing the same jersey as him, then He'llprobably look down and say, "but I'm wearing a sweater my mother knitted me" and this of course is when whoever is trying to help him realizes it's a lost fucking cause and looks for a job with the jaguars instead.

Your unfunny jokes don't mean shit. I suppose you think the 8-8 Broncos of last year were a good team because they won their division. Newsflash: when you're in a shitty division like the NFC East, winning your division don't mean shit, boy.

Oh that reminds me, Tebows actually done 2 things George hasent, won a division and a playoff game, and lets get real, outside of Houston it's not as if the fucking AFC south is a powerhouse.

The AFC South had TWO teams that had a better record than than the entire NFC East.

Has the NFL released a schedule of dates
regarding when awards will be announced?

Seems like MLB has a very smooth and organized process regarding
post season awards.

Yes...RG3 will be crowned Rookie of the Year at the Mahalia Jackson Theater in Armstrong Park the night before the Super Bowl.

I saw the Scorpions there a few years ago.

Should Doug Martin be considered? While his team imploded(Josh Freeman looked great for about half the year). He had 1,454 yards a 4.6 avg. and only lost one fumble. He can also catch, 49 receptions 472 yards. Oh yeah 11 rushing touchdowns. While I would probably still pick RG III or Luck over him, I think he should be at least mentioned.

Congrats to RG3!!!

The accolades continue to pile up.

KNEESTRONG!!!!

EXCLAMATION POINTS AND CAPITAL LETTERS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I wouldn't worry gregg. I'm sure none of the pro football writers of America will be casting votes for NFL Rookie of the year....

So Gregg...are you gonna do this Mitt Romney style and not even prepare a concession speech, and then stagger through one when you lose? Or are you planning on doing a silence/welch combo for this puppy?

------------

ROBERT GRIFFIN III NAMED PRO FOOTBALL WEEKLY/PFWA

ROOKIE OF THE YEAR

LOUDOUN COUNTY, Va. – Pro Football Weekly, along with the Pro Football Writers of America, announced that Washington Redskins quarterback Robert Griffin III has been named their overall Rookie of the Year and Offensive Rookie of the Year.

Griffin III, 22, finished the season having completed 258-of-393 passes (65.6 percent) for 3,200 passing yards, 20 touchdowns, only five interceptions and a passer rating of 102.4, all team rookie records. In addition, he rushed 120 times for 815 yards with seven rushing touchdowns in 2012, all three of which are team records for a quarterback. His 102.4 passer rating, 1.3 interception rate and 815 rushing yards are all NFL records for rookie quarterbacks. Griffin III also led the NFL in yards per pass attempt (8.14), yards per rush attempt (6.8) and least interceptions thrown among players with 300-plus pass attempts (5).

Griffin III began and finished his rookie campaign making history. With a season-opening win against the New Orleans Saints, he became the first player born in the 1990s to start at quarterback in NFL history. In the victory he completed 19-of-26 passes for 320 yards and two touchdowns and finished with a passer rating of 139.9, becoming the first player in NFL history to compile 300-plus passing yards, two or more passing touchdowns and no interceptions in an NFL debut. Griffin III finished the regular season helping the Redskins defeat the Dallas Cowboys in Week 17 to win their first NFC Championship since 1999. He surpassed 800 yards rushing for the season in the game, becoming the first rookie quarterback with 800-plus yards on the ground and 3,000-plus passing yards in a season. Griffin III also earned his first career Pro Bowl selection, becoming the first Redskins offensive rookie to earn a selection since Larry Brown in 1969.

Griffin III is the first member of the Redskins to be named Pro Football Weekly/PFWA Offensive Rookie of the Year since Mike Thomas received the honor in 1975. Pro Football Weekly's annual awards are all selected by PFW editors and contributors along with members of the Professional Football Writers of America.

Can't help but notice Gregg hasn't stopped by this thread in a while to tout Andrew Leaf's chances of winning.

Maybe he thought we'd all just forget about it once our teams were out of the playoffs?

The last two players to win WEEKLY/PFWA ROOKIE OF THE YEAR also went on to win the AP Rookie of the Year.

Still no comment from Gregg?

The silence is deafening, but comforting. I'm guessing he has finally moved on to the "acceptance" part of this thing, after being stuck in denial for weeks.

I don't want to hear anything optimistic out of you until the Vikes sign up another couple of QBs.

I Plunder plays like he did the last 4 weeks and just doesn't turn the ball over, we get a couple players on defense, and a wr (Greg Jennings), they have a shot.

3rd youngest team in the league, and a playoff team. best draft they ever had after one year and the best RB on the planet. The future is bright.

Bump!

Just for the record, is there ANYBODY here who seriously believes Andrew Leaf is gonna win Rookie of the Year? Anybody?

Gregg, even YOU can answer this one. If you actually believe it.

This is gonna be pretty funny When RG3 hits the field and starts playing well again, I have no doubt that. Culpepper tore his shit up and was never the same but didn't have the heart RG3 has, that kid is gonna work his ass off rehabbing and be just fine. He just needs to slide, thats it, His one real flaw is one You really want Your players to have He's too damn competative for his own good, but thats also whats gonna get him through this.

He ripped up an ACL in 2009. He won a Heisman in 2011. That kid will be just fine. Hopefully this serves as a smack in the face for his coach who will insist that he take less risks because of this, but I have no doubt that Griffin will be a pro bowl QB many, many more times before he 's done.

Fuck, that is a great first season. He kinda went right under my radar, but those would be legit RoY numbers in another year for sure. 23 touches for 120 yards a game. Nice. Looks like a solid #31 pick, that's for sure.
