Despite losing the game, the Habs appeared WAY tougher yesterday. Parros, Moen, White, Prust, and young Tinordi can all throw down a bit. That's a positive.

I feel bad for Parros. It was a total accident and his wife and young kids were in the crowd taking in "daddy's" first game as a Hab. That's why Parros wanted to leave on his own and not on a stretcher.

Hey John - my friend has a NJ Devils logo outline and the Misfits scull filling it in. Probably one of the coolest tattoos I've ever seen.

Yeah, usually...but I wasn't so sure his friend's actual tatt would be online. But, thanks for the help.

And if that's his friends tatt or one just like it (since there are numerous variations of the Crimson Ghost skull) and of the same quality, awesome.

Holgrem has blown is. He traded Richards, JVR and Simmonds. Signed guys like Chef Bruno and Mark Streit and paid way too much for Bryz.

I missed the question that Ed answered "Its our culture"
Anyone know what that was in reference to? Lavie did do good things for the team, hate to see him go, but perhaps this will be the catalyst they need.

Agreed. Clean out the front office while they're at it. I liked Lavi.
Guess it The Chief's turn now.
They should have hired from outside the current organization, IMO.

Yeah, Howard Eskin got him all pissed off by asking him why the Flyers have fired more coaches in the last 20 years than any other team and if he was OK with the culture that the team was promoting (and if he needed some perspective). Eskin is a douche but he gets his shots in sometimes.

I thought it was a "stone-cold mortal lock" that Eskin would have called him a "stone-cold dope" :P

Crossingbroad had the transcription of the exchange. After Eskin asked him about the 20 year firing history, Snider said "is that a verified stat?" Eskin said "it is now." Snider gave him a death glare.

Its rare to see a game when the Panthers dominate! Mason was solid and got you the win.

Our PP sucked but at least out PK is doing well this season.

Bring on Tampa!

Anyone catch the highlights of the Sharks rookie Tomas Hertl put up 4 goals vs the Rangers in the 9-2 victory. The between the leg shot ruffled some feathers...Being a Ranger fan I thought it was amazing, for a punk bitch show off!

Tomas was held out the last 7 or so minutes to avoid retaliation.

Like Football and Baseball I'm giving Hockey a shot at catching more games this year. If I can figure out what channels they're on or if I'm forced to find them online.

Since I only watched the Playoffs the last two years.

Anyone wanna to give me an idea of the Rangers chances going into the season? I'm guessing if they make the playoffs it's a bonus.

Are there any other outlets? NHL.com seems to suck.

Yeah that was an amazing game by the kid. Don't understand the fuss. He scored a great goal. Love to see that type of skill and play in the NHL.

The Rangers were predicted to make the playoffs by most. Although they do have a new coach and many think he is better suited with the Rangers than Torts was. However, it hasn't been the best of starts, and it could take some time for him and the team to click. I think they will at least be in with a shout for playoffs. Unlike my team.

As for outlets I do use NHL. But also team fan sites and stuff like hockey buzz.

I poked around NHL and ESPN, read some stories, got some power rankings and break downs on how the Rangers preseason was ugly then came out of the gate with a long road trip to start the season. I get the feeling Lundqvist has lost a bit, felt that way during last years playoffs. Also read Henrik is stopping all talks with the Rangers and agents since it's a contract year. Hope it's a focus and not a hindrance.

Now it's time to catch up on who's hot and who's not.

Pray Boston stumbles and sucks. Rooting to see the Flame's at least make the playoffs. Maybe watch The Wings and the Penguins do well. Now if I can watch a few games a week it's down to what the NHL programing is like this year.
