As a neutral baseball fan I know which one is more embarassing to me.
agreed, A-rods sissy slap at first in the '04 ALCS was even worse, no emotions at all just a sad attempt to be safe by the ultimate bush leaguer, that dude's just an embarrassment all around, screams, slaps, spray tan, lies, more lies etc. Bautista flips his bat, "ooooohhhh respect the game man!!!!"
OK we'll see how Bautista reacts when he is drilled by Texas pitchers
next season. I'm sure he will bitch and moan and wonder why.

The Jays are first to whine about hit batters, close pitches, etc..
Just look at their history this season alone.

As for the ARod play when he shouted at the Jays infield:
Give me a break already. A pro baseball player should catch the ball. No matter what is said or shouted. END OF STORY!

No dumbass, when your squaring up on a can of corn and you hear "hey!" "I got it!" or something along those lines you step back to avoid a possible collision. They fucking teach you that in little league.

What Bitchrod did was Bush League. I wonder what legacy is going to follow Mr. Yankee more. Him being a career long cheater or this one:

The argument for Bonds and Clemens is they were Hall Of Famers before they started juicing. Arod wasn't. I'm happy that he's made enough money to visit Cooperstown someday. I hope he goes and takes lots of pictures.

Yup. Last night's Houston/KC game was the first one I got to see.

Fucking bullshit.

I'm sure if it happens benches will clear, I just find it funny that a flip on a clutch HR in win or go home game is more disrespectful to the game than a grown ass man acting like he's still in the sandlot and screaming like a little bitch. Let me guess You were right there defending his lip licking ass when he pussy slapped arroyo's glove weren't you? I was at a bar watching that game with a buddy who's a yankee fan and he blindly defended it replay after replay, how that asswipe has any fans left is beyond me.

Stay classy Toronto:

Blue Jays fans’ brief but furious seventh-inning meltdown reached a low point when someone from the upper deck tossed a beer into the general vicinity of a baby. Toronto police have identified the alleged beer-thrower, and he will be brought to justice.

Toronto police say a man has been charged with mischief after a baby was hit by the spray of a thrown beer can at Wednesday’s Blue Jays game.

Const. Victor Kwong says Albert Grummitt was arrested Wednesday night and has since been released. He is due in court on Nov. 24.

Police say the baby was with her mother in the front row of the Rogers Centre when the can was tossed their way.

Well Carter being the go to upstanding guy when it comes to this, what did he say this morning when asked? hmmm oh that's right, no big deal emotions run high, guess judge joe has spoken and the case is closed.

Are you purposely avoiding the slap incident, I mean I know it was 11 years ago but come on all your boys were defending A-rod after that, Jeter, Torre all those cunty fans crying, What was your take at the time or Did you not jump on the yanks bandwagon yet?

Good thing yankee fans have never thrown bottles or baseballs on the field before, man that would suck from such a classy fan base.

I never liked the slap play. It was a very, very poor decision. The play was embarrassing. I was watching the game live on TV and when it happened I knew there was no chance the safe call would stand. Rightly so.!

Try to keep up hombre. I have been a Yankees fans since little league :D
Cheered for them during the lean 80's and 90's. Cheered for them during the Dynasty era and again during the lean 2000's when they lost two WS titles.
I know you want to refer to me as a front runner, but that would be incorrect.

Bautista has no respect for the game. If the roles were reversed, you know damn well that he and his team would have not taken lightly to an opposing player "posing" and "tossing" a bat high in the air after striking the ball.

The Blue Jays whined when ARod shouted in the infield and their defender failed to catch a pop up. How is Bautista's behavior any different?

Respect the game a lot more. Treat others like you want to be treated. If you disrespect the game, expect baseballs to be thrown directly at you until the lesson has been learned.
How is making a bush league distraction play different than striking a bit of a pose after hitting the biggest home run of your career in a huge game?

You guy all hate ARod so you take every opportunity to criticize his actions.
Listen, the 3b for Toronto should have caught the pop. He should have focused on the ball, caught it and after told ARod to come up with something better if you want to distract him.
Also, the 3b is a major leaguer. If that "shout" distracts him in the field, he must have not had a long career in the show.

You do realize A-Rod is about as universally hated as it gets in sports right? wasn't always that way, I used to like him myself until it became clear what kind of player and person he really was. Everything negative douchebags like him do are magnified and added on to the pile, in his case it's a pretty big fucking pile and he's earned every last bit of the hate that comes his way, He's a classless, bush league, egotistical, vindictive, self entitled cunt of epic proportions.

He is many of the things you described. Does not change the fact that
the Toronto player should have caught the easy pop up.

Please stop trying to tell me how ARod is hated in the game. He has been hated for years and since he signed that contract with the Rangers, since he almost went to Boston and since he signed with NYY, he has become even more hated.
The man has a target and for good reasons. He also paid the price for his PED use. Sat an entire year. What else do you want from him?

What's he coming back from?

Oh that's right. Getting caught for cheating HIS ENTIRE CAREER. Yeah, he should lock that one right up.

As for the Toronto 3B, again. If someone yells "hey!" Or "I got it!" You move aside and let them make the play. Mr. Yankee knew that and that's why he yelled it.

1 lifetime HR going into that at bat. Epic bat flip begins at 1:00

I guess I started the infield fly debate, so I might as well end it.

Whether the infielder caught the ball or not is irrelevant. The point is that it's pretty classless and bush league to do what Arod did. It's one of those unwritten rules - you don't do that. I'm sure many of his teammates didn't like it either.

That's funny because it's been stated ( Seattle & Texas ) that his former teammates didn't like him either.

Kill, you can lick the nut crust off my finger nails.

The Met's deserved the win, they're the better team. No way would the Dodgers bet the Cub's in the long series. LAD gave this game away and I'm kind of glad, the more I thought about it the more I didn't want to see them lose to the fucking Cub Cakes.

LAD had the lead 2-1 and Ethier is in the dugout fighting with Mattingly....WTG DON for not moving him over like you should have, it would have been an extra run.
Not covering 3b on the fucking shift? There's another winning run given away.

I really loved watching Andre Ethier blast Mattingly in the dugout for not moving him over, it adds to Kershaw blasting Mattingly twice in the dugout over the last few weeks. I hope he gets fired and picks up a job with that shitty Giant's team that didn't make the post season or the WC!

 That 2014 World Series Champions shitty Giants team you mean?

I knew I'd get a rise out of you. I didn't watch the press conference but apparently Mattingly was asked some pretty hardcore questions. Donnie Baseball's lack of knowledge of anything to do with baseball is pretty glaring. There is no way that dude has that job next season. It seems like the players I grew up a fan of can't manage for shit ( Matt Williams, Mattingly ) who knew?

The Mets are starting Harvey in game 1. The NLCS should be pretty epic.

*Daniel Murphy is the only NL player to homer off both Greinke and Kershaw in 2015.

2015 will also go down as the year Clayton won a playoff game. If he pitched for the Yankees they would call him "Clayton Clutch."

You haven't played, you don't play...It's not a big deal but it's so obvious stop. You can't just "focus" on the fucking ball....You keep your eye on the ball while avoiding planting your feet and that's just for starters.....

You have communication with your teammates, paying attention to your surroundings, avoiding bases, walls, grass & dirt lines, bumping into your mates, where the balls is going to go next like attention to other runners when you're holding them on. You have to be ready to be called off the play, that's why it's a fucking RULE and that's why he dropped it. He was expecting the same play he's made a thousand times not prepared to hear a Runner yell out shit, because no one does that shit.
Recognize the voice on the field? Did you just seriously say that? I thought you said just "focus" on the ball now it's distinguishing voices of other players? It's simple, you're not expecting to hear an idiot runner scream shit in the Pro's or little league, that's why it's a fucking rule. It's interference.

This isn't Major League the movie. Professionals don't do that shit, but Aroid did. If anyone, from the Pro's to a city league player hears "I got it" it's going to disrupt them. If you've had adrenaline running through your veins let alone understand how it effects you'd know it. "You'd just focused on the ball" makes me laugh.

It's even a rule in drunk adult softball leagues but no one does that childish shit. I played a couple-ish seasons of adult baseball when I was young and no one did it because it's flat out embarrassing to you and the team.
When I started racking up the injuries in football and MTBing in the off season I dropped into playing in drunk softball leagues and if anyone did that shit their own team would treat the player like a fucking douche bag.

And were not even talking about Aroid slapping the ball out of the glove while running to first. It just shows how big of a bitch Aroid is. Plays like that are stuff spoiled toddlers do. Aroid is an arrogant, lying, cheating spoiled bitch who thinks the world revolves around his big head.
Taking Roids and lying about it, slapping the ball out of a glove, yelling when a fielder is going to make a catch equals a douche bag.

And it could have been two.
He might as well be a Yankee Clutch, loser....It was the Yankee manager yanking Kershaw with two outs too bring in a Noobie 3B man turned reliever with 2 innings of post season experience and a career of 70IP. In a playoff game, over a warmed up experienced better reliever. What manager does that shit? 1ER turned to 3ER's and a LOSS thanks to his ever changing no run producing line up card and how he managed the game....He was sent from the Yankees to assassinate the postseason Dodgers.

I honestly believe Mattingly is a 00, a Yankee spy sent to sabotage the Dodgers and their ace pitcher. Especially in the last two seasons Don's totally mismanaged the team and Kershaw in the post season. If I was Clayton I'd ask for a trade if Don comes back.

Mattingly couldn't manufacture a run if he had Jackie Robinson to steal home plate. He couldn't manage a pitching staff if he had the 1993 Atlanta Braves. Don could flip a coin and guess wrong 9 out of 10 times.

That 2014 Giant's World Series Championship already has more dust on it then Bryce Harper has twitter posts!

Paid the price? He was supposed to be banned for life that turned into a 211 game ban then reduced to 162. Aroid lied, cheated and after being busted he still wouldn't accept responsibility and sued MLB and MLBPA for being suspended.

He didn't do his time, his money did. If he did his time he'd never have played again. If the needle doesn't prick, you must acquit! Lance Armstrong is an example of someone who did his time, banned for life and stripped all his medals. That's what they should have done with Aroid.

I almost forgot, remember the deal with Aroid tipping off pitches to his friends on opposing teams during blow outs so they'd do the same to break him out of a slump? What happened to all that jazz?

Ya Aroid is a class act, I bet his son is Danny Almonte.

We won the division and went further then you did THIS year so NAAAAAAAAA!

Speaking of LAD and their upcoming offseason plans, it's been confirmed ( but not surprising to anyone ) that Greinke is going to opt out of his contract.

That leads to an interesting dilemma. The MFY needs SP as does Boston, LAAAA, SF and Detroit. With Greinke's personal "needs" his options are limited since he can't pitch anywhere. Plus he's probably the front-runner for the NL Cy Young with Kershaw and Arrieta closely behing him. His price will be astronomical.

As good as Greinke is the main problem LAD faced IMO ( aside from a dunderhead of a manager, a "Dusty Baker-lite" if you will ) is their lack of bullpen. Since bringing in Andrew Friedman, which is fucking terrifying if you're anti-Dodger and the change of the game. I could see them passing on Greinke.

Having a dominant bullpen isn't new knowledge, but it's more imperative now than earlier. SF's recent dominance has been led by pitching, more specifically bullpen behind an ace(s). Jeremy Addeldt was mentioning that too concerning their recent run. I think that's going to be the main pieces that the majority of GMs ( the smart ones anyway, so Cashman is excluded ) are going after this time.

What LA fans have to look forward to is this is still the beginning of Friedman's takeover. Mattingly wasn't his guy. Friedman was the dude that brought in Madden to Tampa, so you can be assured Donnie Postseason is gone. The problem facing them is there isn't a whole lot of intriguing GMs on the market next to Cherington ( assuming you blame Lucchino and Werner for Fat Panda and Hanley ). Ripken, Baker, Williams ( ), etc. I'm fascinated by this offseason since there are so many changes coming.

The new school Beane-style GMs are taking over. We're going to see more use of analysis and teams being run by genius nerds.

There's hope for us all.*

*Comment excludes Machado

ETA

Lester vs. Harvey for game 1. I know Arrieta has been unhittable but I would give Lester the ball in game one myself. His postseason resume speaks for itself.

I think you hit the nail right on the head and Machado outed himself as someone who obviously never played organized baseball, might give him T-ball but even going back to little league what you said is correct, every coach I ever had from LL to HS would always talk about how important the communication is. I played every OF position and 3rd base and in practices Yeah you'd get a monster pop fly and whoever was in the best position had better damn well call the other guys off and fast, if not well that's how collisions and confusion happens, and I never heard childish shit like what Arod did even in LL, his face says it all in the interview when asked about that, He has that expression like "Yeah I'm lying, so what". Fuck him.
