Machado, when the Cowboys sign him, will you suddenly think he's the second coming of Danny White? Or Gary Hogeboom?
Honestly he's probably an upgrade over the garbage currently handing off for the Cowboys.

Anyway, you can have Jim Kelly and his 4 SB losses(don't forget about those video game stats). I'll take a SB winner 8 days a week.
I'd say Danny White might have eclipsed Romo to date, only because White played in 3 NFC Championship games.
But only 1 SB win will get Romo over the top and be the 3rd best QB in franchise history

Quick, Who was more responsible for the Bucs SB win over the raiders? was it world beater Brad Johnson or Derrick Brooks, Warren Sapp, John Lynch and the rest of that Defense?
Re: The NFL Thread
I tell you what. That argument is weak. The entire team is responsible for a SB win. Then you have "haters" who say that a certain team won the SB because their opponent was awful or they did not play anybody that was good, etc...dtmfs wrote:Yeah I'd take Dilfer and McMahon over Marino and Kelly too, All time greats that they were, no wait their D's are what got them those rings, man you really need to study up on football.Machado wrote: Anyway, you can have Jim Kelly and his 4 SB losses(don't forget about those video game stats). Forget that nonsense. You play the team on the schedule and whether or not a better team is in the league, they must not have been that great if that team did not advance to the SB.
That D for Tampa was outstanding. Now do you want to blame the Raiders loss on the whack job of a Center that went AWOL and missed the game?
Or maybe the fact that Gruden knew the Raiders signals and the Raiders failed to change them up for the big game?
Marino and Kelly were great in the reg season. They put up great numbers and numbers that are outstanding, but neither won a SB and that has to count for something.

Re: The NFL Thread
If the argument was weak, the Bears, Bucs, and Ravens D's wouldn't be considered Legendary. Were any of those offenses Legendary? Fuck no, They won because of their Defenses and everyone knows it. Gannon threw what 5 picks in that game? There are some well balanced Championship teams, The 80's niners, The 90's Cowboys, and the pats of the last 15 years, but there are plenty of teams where it was painfully obvious that they won with their Defense, I can think of one champion at the moment that won primarily through offense and that was the 99 Rams. Who were the Mvp's of the Buc's, Bears, and Ravens SB wins? Dexter Jackson, Richard Dent and Ray Lewis, compare that to how many times an offensive player wins and You'll see Why those teams won in spite of their mediocre offense.Machado wrote: I tell you what. Re: The NFL Thread
Cowboys are a dumpster fire and I'm fucking loving it. First place schedule, Last Place results.
Emotions boiled over in the Cowboys locker room after the game as Bryant started screaming at reporters, loud enough that it was heard across the entire room. The Cowboys public relations staff attempted to intervene but Bryant kept yelling.
“Stay the (expletive) away …,” Bryant yelled to a group of reporters. “Why don’t you all get the (expletive) out of here? This is our (expletive) locker room. You (expletive) dirty (expletive).”
This is the second consecutive week that an emotional outburst has coincided with a difficult loss. The previous Sunday it was Hardy who shoved teammates and knocked a clipboard out of the special teams coach's hands after the New York Giants returned a kickoff 100 yards for a touchdown in the fourth quarter of a victory.

Wait so is Dez!
How the staff in Dallas lets this clown around a mic, direct traffic in the locker room or walk around the sideline running his mouth is amazing.
On any other team the coaching staff would have Dez under wraps let alone a dipshit like Hardy being supported not disciplined for slapping and pushing his coaches and teammates in the huddle and on the sidelines. I'm surprised Dallas hasn't made Hardy a Captain yet.
Would Belichick, McCarthy, or the Staff in Denver let this shit happen?
Jone's openly supporting Hardy while going on and on in the media made me laugh. Most teams would have Hardy and Dez on a leash and not talk to the media while hitting Hardy and Dez over the head with a stick behind closed doors. If Dallas had their shit together they'd already have won the SB with ROMO. Jones is Al Davis Jr without the ability to control his own players.
Machado, don't give me this shit Dez is a leader, he's on the fucking IR, when you're on the IR you're on the sideline for support ONLY. You don't get into interactions. Something you will never know or understand.
Letting Dez and Hardy.....Rephrase that. Jones supporting Dez and Hardy's antics last week lead to more problems this week. When there's a fucking fire you don't put gasoline on it, you stomp the fucker out.
Jones clearly knows about oil and gas.
HOW BOUT DEM GIRLS!

On the other hand, Seattle is a team is holding on by a thread. All those high priced contracts made them thin on the depth chart and not able to fill in holes. I still think they'll squeak into the playoffs and be a better team as the season goes but they're not as good as they were the last two years because of the MONEY they've shelled out. If they keep pulling out these victory's vs lame opponents they should hang around and be tough in the playoffs, that's if they make the playoffs.
Would Pete Carroll let a player like Dez run around the bench and locker room spouting off? NO! That's why Carroll sent Percy Harvin packing after winning the Super Bowl.
Now Percy is raising issues in Buffalo.

Steve Smith out for season with torn Achilles, career could be over.
What was supposed to be the final season for Steve Smith ended on a disappointing note, as the 36-year-old wide receiver suffered a torn Achilles late in a win against the Chargers Sunday.

Shit news, one of my favorite WR's on this generation. One of the toughest WR by far, a WR who could have played in any era. Full adrenaline hard nosed player who's gong to be missed. Watched him from College at the U all the way till today and he never once gave up whistle to whistle. They don't make them like Smith anymore. Gutsiest WR in the game.
Shame he couldn't finish the season but thanks for the 15 years of nonstop action, stiff arming full on play.

Le'Veon Bell expected to miss season with torn MCL........Another blow to the Steelers. They've been down this road so many times with RB's I think they'll be ok. Especially with the Ravens sucking ass and not many other teams like the AFC West stepping up. Pittsburgh vs Oakland next week might carry some weight down the road. But it's the Raiders, they're not playoff ready yet.

Another game without Romo and another L. Seattle is very tough. Their D is so good right now. Totally different team compared to how they played earlier this season.
Same can be said for the Saints, who are on fire right now.
Anyway, the hit that KO'd that Seattle player was so legal. Not #38's fault that the Seattle player lowered his head just before impact. That was not targeting. It was just a bad accident on the field that was the fault of
the Seattle player.

I'm telling you straight out when teammates fight during games your team will crumble. It sucks all momentum out and spreads into the locker room like a cancer. Momentum plays a huge roll, the last thing you need is teammates fighting each other.
Then allowing a player on the IR to roam the sideline playing coach is the dumbest shit I've witnessed.
Players don't want to hear anything from someone on the IR who's not in the game, they're there just for support not to get into the middle of anything. Dez must be some hot shit, everyone I seen, witnessed or know including myself who's been on the IR at a game feels like they're worthless with no room to talk. Most don't even hang around the bench let alone get in the middle of arguments.
I said last week was a BIG DEAL and look what it did this week. Happened again, they're running lose in Dallas while Jones is supporting this shit in the media. No other team would allow that shit.
No one likes to play with teammates who are assholes either, it takes you off your game and effects everyone in way's you'll never understand. Bad attitudes are a cancer no matter how many sacks he gets.
Pushing and shoving happens in practice fighting over jobs and positions but during games there's no place for it. The Coach needs to put stop to that shit but clearly there's no control in Dallas.
Jones supporting Hardy last week shows why they haven't won shit with ROMO. They've had the teams but the system is clueless.
None of that shit would fly on the Pat's, Packers or any of the good teams and systems. Knock a clip board out of a coaches hand would get you benched not back in the huddle pushing your teammates around.
I guess it just blows me away any team would let shit like that happen on the side line. Jones defended it last week and look what him got him this week. You don't have to be a Vince Lombardi to see actions like that will kill your team.
Getting ROMO back will help, since they don't have a leader for a coach or owner at least when ROMO gets back they'll have some stability.....But I doubt it. This has been going on in Dallas since Jones took over.
Think Tom Landry would allow those antics? All he'd have to do is stare them down into submission.

Giving up 49 points to the lowly 4-4 Giants is a team on fire? The only team that's given up more points then the Saint's is the Lions.....I'd hate to see what you think scorching is. They had to score 52 points vs one of the worst passing defenses in the league to win. Where do you come up with this shit?Machado wrote:Same can be said for the Saints, who are on fire right now.
Their wins were against suspect teams and one shitty team, Dallas. And you're still making excuses because they gave the Saint's their first win of the season by choking in OT.

I didn't read it yet, is it because the game is a better match up? Fucking funny, I wished they'd do that to our local games. We're forced to watch meaningless Bronco games even late in the year over playoff implication games.
