Just found out about this movie a few days ago. Caught it the other night. It's a perfect midnight showing B movie. Nicolas Cage in a role that perfectly utilizes his strengths. Enjoyed this one very much.

The movie itself was okay. The acting was fine, a lot of really nice cinematography. BUT, the last part of the movie just went way off the tracks.

"Birds of Prey (And the Fantabulous Emancipation of One Harley Quinn)" - 7/10

A fun movie (somewhat). In all honesty, the movie is not great. Some of it's a lot of fun, some it is kind of *too* absurd. What makes this movie workable is how good Margot Robie is in this role. She really owns the Harley Quinn role now.

Birds of Prey

I enjoyed it thoroughly. I like the fact it has a different feel than other DC/Marvel movies and embraces the campiness and violence. My only complaint is that the actual "Birds of Prey" are shortchanged in the movie. It was focused mostly on Harley Quinn with a sprinkling of the Huntress, Black Canary, and Montoya thrown in. The movie probably could have used an extra 10 minutes to develop the team a little more. Considering Margot Robbie is one of the producers, there was no way this movie wasn't going to be 90% Harley Quinn. She was great in it, it was just a little unbalanced, IMO.
