Jon needs to let Adam Bomb takeover the band
He gets my vote(the vote that counts)

The last video I saw of JBJ singing was like he had suffered a stroke. It was like he was singing a different song than what was being played.HueyRamone wrote: ↑Wed Mar 15, 2023 7:57 pm "Vocal fry". Stupid writer doesnt know what that is.

Fuck that, you should become the lead singer of Bon Jovi. Your pay will be free food from Jon's restaurant.LAglamrocker wrote: ↑Wed Mar 15, 2023 9:17 pm Jon needs to let Adam Bomb takeover the band

I would not want pressure of being Bon Jovi- Jon wouldn’t like it-the show would look like Vain in 1990
Honestly I would want hang with Jon brother in the vineyards just lounging in my beach chair talking WWE with him all day

Vocal fry is the cliche Valley Girl speak where women talk too low for their natural voices. Nothing to do with JBJ or Marilyn Manson.

Elisabeth Holmes talks too low for her natural voice. No vocal fry.

"Vocally Challenged"... wow, that's some me too, PC shit right there man!!!
It makes me sad though. Jon really truly had a great voice. Everything from Slippery through These Days was him in his prime. The songs and the charisma to match.
After that....LUCKY!!!! Yeah sure, It's My Life and Who Says You Can't Go Home were huge hits. But the albums and live performances keep getting worse and worse.

I'd be shocked if there is no anniversary tour next year. They could do a few giant shows in Europe with Richie and call it a farewell anniversary tour.

Richie seems open to it, but speaking in code a bit. It's basically, "Figure out a way to not embarrass yourself on stage, and I'm in."

What do the Kardashians, Zooey Deschanel and Katy Perry all have in common? They all are well-known for their use of vocal fry, a creaky voice tone. But women aren’t the only ones using vocal fry —men use it too.
What is vocal fry?
Vocal fry is the lowest register (tone) of your voice characterized by its deep, creaky, breathy sound.

With all of the money in the world and access to innovative medical methods, there is no way possible the human vocal cords cannot be regenerated!? I find that really hard to believe in 2023. All l can say about Richie rejoining the group, the money better be more than right.

Both of em are a few yrs older than me, but JFC, time is a bitch. My hair is about the same color as Jon's. I saw a recent pic of me and thought "god damn if I'm going to look like a lesbian grandma", so I had it buzz-cut, and now I can live with myself. Richie's 'do; I just don't know. Most of these older dudes have the most ridiculous hair. Maybe they should all get the "David Bryan".

Yes. Men like Marilyn Manson, whose low vocals almost exclusively use vocal fry.BernieTaupson wrote: ↑Sun Mar 19, 2023 12:45 pmBut women aren’t the only ones using vocal fry —men use it too.BernieTaupson wrote: ↑Thu Mar 16, 2023 12:13 am Vocal fry is the cliche Valley Girl speak where women talk too low for their natural voices. Bringing back Sambora as a co-lead vocalist/backing vocalist would be a great idea, not to mention his guitar playing. (Keep Phil X by all means and let them share the leads.) The fans would love it and it would be a great way to wrap it up. (And, for JBJ, Sambora and the band, a fat payday.) Making sure to keep another percussionist and/or keyboardist who can beef up the vocals would be good too, just in case.

I mean you're not wrong, but all of this is to assist in the fact that Jon 100% can not do his job at all, and all of them will help mask that. Taken to the n'th degree, you could wheel out Charlie Watt's corpse, and have 2 other drummers playing alongside of it, and "The three of them sounded fantastic together".CrankerBait wrote: ↑Mon Mar 20, 2023 2:17 pm Bringing back Sambora as a co-lead vocalist/backing vocalist would be a great idea, not to mention his guitar playing. Bon Jovi can fill a stadium whether Jon sings or not … I’m pretty sure this has less to do with what Bon Jovi wants and more of what they are being forced to do by whoever is paying for the tour.

He sure as fuck won’t be sober after this tour with Jon’s issues killing the whole vibe.

Maybe Bon Jovi should get Vince Neil or Axl Rose to sing live for them instead of Jon.
Re: Vocally Challenged Bon Jovi 'begged" Sober Richie Sambora to Come Back for Reunion Tour...
Just spent about 5 minutes of my life quickly reviewing some youtube videos to see what his live singing is like.
His voice is shot. His timing and phrasing is all over the place. He's really struggling.
I get that people lose their voice, especially when you're singing multiple times a week at arenas for a couple of decades and not properly taking care of your self.
I also get that people want to hear him sing and play the songs because he's a huge celebrity with a massive fan base.
My question for the musicians out there is: Why doesn't he slow down the songs, maybe drop the key down a bit? Why is it so obvious that he's "vocally challenged." ? Why can't he spend some money to get a vocal coach and have his band rework the songs so he's capable of singing them within his limitations? What am I missing?

Its one thing to be hoarse, or not have the pipes to hit certain keys. He's also completely off time, and usually standing still, and holding the mic stand for support. That is more than having a shit voice like old man Dokken and Paul Stanley. He might have had a stroke or some weird disease. I dont know. But I would say hes stealing from the crowd, plain and simple, except for the part that crowds dont seem to give 2 shits if you suck ass these days. They'll happily clap along, say "Hey, it was a fun night out" and go again the next time.

Re: Vocally Challenged Bon Jovi 'begged" Sober Richie Sambora to Come Back for Reunion Tour...
What happened to the new Richie Sambora solo album produced by Bob Rock (who produced Bon Jovi "Keep the Faith"). Is it possible that it's transitioning into the new Bon Jovi record instead? Any news other than Jon hanging out drinking Diving Info Hampton Water wine?

However, Sambora is not resting on his laurels waiting for the reunion, as he has solo music on the way. “There’s a new (Richie Sambora) album coming out, probably at the end of March or the beginning of April and (it’s) with Bob Rock,” he shared, explaining, “It’s a rock record. Yeah, it’s a lot of fun and the songs are good, and I’m thrilled and I can’t wait to get out and play again.”
