board is life - This one is interesting. Someone here posted about it being dedicated to "hardcore" music, which I love. However, threads about hardcore/punk rock/oi etc. make up a small amount of the boards content. Everything else is all over the place &, I suspect, most everyone on there is a 30something male, with a few females thrown in. It can be funny as the posters are very forthcoming about their lives which is a lot of stuff I (we) went through 25 years ago.

Funny, I just went to that site for the first time in a while. First thing I read was the owner had not been updating the site very much cause he was working in a used record store in Taiwan...or some shit for the last 5 or 6 months. Odd.

Also, just checked out their messageboard. WOW, makes this site look modern.

No other forums for me. This site is about all I can handle.

Well, exactly! I'm an audio geek! By 'gold standard' I mean that has by far the largest and most diverse music community on-line. Music and gear. There are threads with millions of views although the number of active users is also one of its faults. It's so active that if you post a thread it might be off the front page with 30 new threads above it within 5 minutes. But if you want to know who played the triangle on that Charlie Mingus song or who blew Morrissey after that Feb 1984 show at the Hammersmith, that's the place. I don't disagree though, 99% of the members there have zero sense of humor. It's all business. Hair metal and bands like Journey (Perry era) are totally looked down upon. That's why guys like us need to go there and set those fuckers straight. We're the turds in their punchbowl.
