Obviously, they will announce that, since they needed a bass player and drummer, they grabbed Paul and Ringo.

Hoping the Stones can finally put together one more great record that they haven't quite been able to do for the last forty years. Who knows? They've been working on it for several years so here's hoping.
I didn't mind a few songs from the blues album they put out a few years ago. It was maybe a little under the radar, if that's possible for the Stones.

I heard the same thing a few months ago. A world tour with the classics of Stones and Beatles played by said line-up. It would make sense to finish their careers that way when everybody except Ron Wood is 80 or older.Metal Sludge wrote: ↑Mon Sep 04, 2023 4:31 pmI know you're Sludging, but I so hope this is true! Re: Stones Annoucement w/ Jimmy Fallon
Not really a Stones fan, but I love how they are making this album release an Event...cryptic magazine adds, websites that crash on purpose..weird commercials with Fallon...... The whole thing has been really cool.

Re: Stones Annoucement w/ Jimmy Fallon
That will never happen. Stones won the game, they're jam-packing stadiums on their own at a pretty penny and have a solid lineup, they don't need to throw Paul a bone or play any Beatles. As funny as it'd be to see Jagger sing When I'm 64!Love_Industry wrote: ↑Mon Sep 04, 2023 10:57 pmI heard the same thing a few months ago. I’m a fan and expecting the obligatory tour to be announced too, but no way am I dropping 400 plus dollars for a ticket with 2 original members left.

The Fallon thang is probably due to the fact that the executive producer, Lorne Michaels, is Mick's pal.

Fallon has been greatly affected by the writers' strike, too.. so he can stay in the spotlight a little bit for this.Turner Coates wrote: ↑Tue Sep 05, 2023 8:18 amThe Fallon thang is probably due to the fact that the executive producer, Lorne Michaels, is Mick's pal.

She seems really happy in that convertible. Probably because they're so little traffic on Sunset Blvd. That road can be a real traffic jam.

That's the first time I've ever wanted to masturbate after watching a Rolling Stones video.
Song's good too.

Re: Stones Annoucement w/ Jimmy Fallon
The Rolling Stones were "old" during the Steel Wheels tour - their late 40s, which is where I'm at now.
I could've never imagined they'd have new material, let alone good material, 34 years later.
Trying to picture what I'll be doing 34 years from now.
Probably watching that video and masturbating.

Stones jumping on Danger Danger trend was always funny. They were old as f*ck in Kik Tracee era..never came close to No Rules cd or anything Electric Boys recorded during that time

Who cares about their names! The dude knows how to play Miss You on bass and gets $700/show, Macca would demand twice the money. The new drummer plays better than noodle-arms Ringo!Love_Industry wrote: ↑Wed Sep 06, 2023 7:05 amSolid line-up with a bass player nobody knows the name of and a drummer who joined last week or soPsychobolia.com wrote: ↑Tue Sep 05, 2023 6:21 am

This was the first time a new album was not announced concurrently with a tour since Dirty Work in 1986.Ziggy Sawdust wrote: ↑Tue Sep 05, 2023 7:21 am I’m a fan and expecting the obligatory tour to be announced too, but no way am I dropping 400 plus dollars for a ticket with 2 original members left.
I think the touring days are over but I think some residencies might be in the cards including the Sphere in 2024.
Word was they had a stadium tour booked for 2023 but it was pulled the day before the announcement.

Mick said US tour in 2024 in separate interview.
New single sounds like Stones written from A.I. Same thing with last Ozzy albums with Andrew Watt.

There is something about the backing vocals on the choruses that is SOOOO un-Stonesy that it drives me nuts.

Nice Stones-y groove. And a video with a hot chick? Hell yes! And yeah, say what you want about the old geezers angle, but Mick and Keef still making music at around 80 years old is just amazing, much less music this good.

Absolutely LOVE “Angry” and Sydney Sweeney.
Re: Stones Annoucement w/ Jimmy Fallon
"Angry".... song is meh.
Stones haven't made a truly good record since 1982. Since then there's been enough really good songs to fill maybe 3 full length albums. The last tune I genuinely liked was "Doom And Gloom" from 2012.
