The nice thing about this thread is that every time I check to see how crypto is doing, I see my Nvidia has gone up.

Shit is insane. I bought +-5 shares at $200 during the chip shortage thinking some caveman: "They gonna make chips. Rrrrrr...." and now those $200 shares are over $1k each.

I got on the NVDA train back in 2021 when it was around $220, it was up for a while but slowly sank to $120 and I didn't have an exit plan, so I sold when it got to $280 right before it went non-linear.

But I hopped back in last Oct at $420, up huge now, have an exit in place this time if it dips below $850 (nice 100% gain locked in, otherwise to the moon baby!!)

ETH appears to have semi-stabilized with the ETF coming up, I like it.

Just reset my NVDA exit plan to exit at $105 post-split (150% profit, x2.5 my purchase price)

Sold some AVGO, cha-ching, I love their CEO!! Still have some I'm sitting on long.

The AI bubble has to burst (at least to some degree), but how long until it does is the question.

AI is a different thing. No bubble. It's a transformative technology, more like the automobile than some ephemeral shit like the nonsense dot coms in the nineties. (Which, to be fair also yielded some of the world's largest companies in the long run)

A side thing: This thing I have called SMR (NuScale Power) is starting to move up. They make little nuclear plants that you can put anywhere. The idea is that people will power AI data centers with them.

We'll see, but it could be a fun thing to get into. It's still ground floor.

agree with you long term, maybe it's better to say a deflation and not a burst. I like that you can actually do something useful with generative AI, it's not complete speculation. There was some discussion that inflation was not as bad as expected due to productivity gains from AI (get more done with out hiring extra people), that makes sense to me. As in any gold rush invest in pick axes though.

On a separate note, I need to look into the portable nuclear power plants, that sounds nuts. I need one for camping for sure (hey kiddos, check this out !! )
