Lead guitarists who walked out on the band

Post by BernieTaupson »

Gary Moore, Thin Lizzy American tour 1979. Gary couldn’t deal with Phil’s drug use and he bailed night before a tour. They flew over Midge Ure to sub and he listened to all the songs on the plane to learn them.

Joe Perry and Brad Whitford. I suppose Ace walked out on Kiss a couple of times.

Norum was fired, supposedly for being an unprofessional slacker.
That's not what was communicated to the media, but various members confirmed the story later.

It was actually mid tour. He walked out after their show at a day on the green in CA. Apparently, he gave his guitar to a roadie and walked off through the parking lot.
