On which band's nuts do you choose to die?

On which band's nuts do you choose to die?

Post by AlexVonHaig »

I mean like p13 for poison, risingtard for ki$$, or such

Me RATT. They got into the game early, helped define a genre put out 3 great and 3 more good albums BITD. Bands have personality differences and that ended their run but all in all. I can go beginning to end on almost every album.

RATT and roll

Crue was the one. Loved every track, even the 'filler' on Theatre and Girls. In fact I often like that filler better than the hits. If they had bowed out after 'Decade of Decadence' they'd def be my 'Stones', but they're trying really hard the last 10-20 years to ruin it for me so.......not the Crue.

Tom Petty & the Heartbreakers maybe? Or for a band still putting shit out & touring, I'll die on the nuts of The Darkness unless they get fat & lazy.

Two, of course: Rush and Aerosmith. They had their low points but they never made an indefensibly horrible song or album, IMO.

Steel Panther.

Their first 4 albums are bitchin, their last 2 are pretty damn good, I've only missed one of many Paris shows (always a fun time, despite the repeat jokes)...stellar musicianship, good to great songs, fun subject matter, killer videos, boobies, etc...

Oh yeah, and EXODUS, cuz they rule too.

It has always been funny to me how we agree on Aerosmith but I can’t stand Rush. Instant channel change, when they come on. Personal tastes are a funny thing.

D-A-D, Rush, and, to a lesser extent these days, Ratt.

Collective Soul. One of the best catalogs of music out there. Still a pretty good live band, still putting out great music. The latest double album is fantastic.

Could say just about the same thing about Green Day.

For 80's bands, I'd say Bon Jovi. I liked almost every album up to and including the Circle...and they were a pretty damn fun live band that entire time.

Musicians - Axl, Eddie, and Lars. They are often ripped, and I often defend them.

Bands - Queens Of The Stone Age and Royal Blood for being often underrated, Limp Bizkit for being really good players and a great and fun live show.

Agreed with daveg about Green Day. I think Revolution Radio and Father Of All… are their only two subpar albums in 30+ years.

Yeah, my personal tastes are all over the map, though Rush and Aerosmith are definitely my top two.

Going outside this genre. I am hard-pressed to name such a band anymore. From 76-96, it would have been KISS. I was a KISStard. Now, I like a lot of diversity in my music and enjoy many bands, past and present. As I've gotten older, I have come to appreciate the talent of bands I used to hate as a teen-20s: Tears for Fears, Hall and Oates, Toto (I didn't know how fucking great they were until I was an adult), many of the "yacht rock" artists like Christopher Cross. I'm not dying on their hills, I'm just saying I've come to appreciate what I used not to.

Agreeance. Bands that I labeled as "f*ggots" as a younger man or teen, I've grown to like or at least appreciate.

How can anyone be a GNR nutswinger when everything they’ve done after AFD is fundamentally flawed?
