Skid Row - Live In London

Post by ultra motion »

For their 1st Official Live album, it's pretty good! Erik sounds great and as close to Bach as possible. Not to mention he can hit all high notes.

As for setlist, the only song I would remove is 'In A Darkened Room' and replace it with 'Sweet Little Sister'. Other than that, it's awesome.

Waiting on mine to arrive, but from what I have heard its great! Erik was a perfect replacement, too bad they couldn't keep it going.

Only three new songs? The album should be called 'Live in London: We Still Play Sebastian Bach Songs and Replaced Him with a Copycat.' Snake and Scotti always talk about moving on and forgetting the past, but they keep mentioning Bach in every single interview. Now, they’re promoting a live album with his songs.

I listened to it the other day. It is really good.

But man....if you didn't know better, you'd think it was 19 year old Bach on vocals. Shame they lost the guy. He was an asset for them.

It seems like the more time goes on, the stupider your comments get.

It's very good. Totally digging it.

I'd replace In a Darkened Room with Wasted Time (if Erik can pull off Darkened Room, he can pull Wasted Time).

And I'd add Mudkicker right after Riot Act. Those two songs are killer back to back.

They NEVER mention bach in every interview.... pretty much the opposite. its the interviewers who bring it up. they (the interviewers) try to be coy and tap dance around the name but it eventually gets spoken..

and they are not Bach's songs... its their songs.. they are the one that wrote the tunes.. Bach is the classic era voice who is singing the songs that skidz wrote..

So, Skid Row puts out a live album. Sebastian puts out a live album. Both have the same songs. If that happened, how much would Skid Row have to pay Sebastian? How much would Sebastian have to pay Skid Row? Which amount would be greater?

Sebastian actually did put out 2 live records of mostly Skid Row songs. Bring em Bach Alive and Abachalypse Now which was a mini box set. Assuming it's legally copyrighted, I guess the writers (Skid Row) get the writers royalty rate per album sold. However, considering it's all streaming now, they make about .002 per stream!

Excellent, listened to it today
This was their live set list. Wish they'd just play 3 more songs to bring it to 90 minutes in the set.
Erik did a fantastic job. Too bad it couldnt work out.
Great songs

The band sounds great but I just can’t get past the vocals. Sorry but Sebastian owns those songs. There is no substitute.

Both songs are fantastic. 'Wasted Time' seems particularly challenging to sing. Even the '92 live vocal performances often fell short of the studio recording's quality. I've attended many of their concerts, both with and without Bach, but I can't recall hearing 'Wasted Time' in their setlist since the 90s. Perhaps my memory is playing tricks on me....
