I have to wonder if deep down, Jesse hates that song too. It was a gimmick song, but it did it's job of getting the band attention. However, now he's GOT to play it at every show they do, which means having to either bring his own chainsaw and stool to every gig (or have it on the rider), hope there's no technical issues with the chainsaw, and risk getting injured, which has to have happened hundreds of times over the last thirty years.

Seems like it would have been more convenient to have written Cherry Pie, instead.

yeah I was thinking how he’s way more of the “chainsaw guy” than Jani was cherry pie.
I thought it was odd that Jani seemed so messed up about it in that interview. I never thought cherry pie was his legacy

Having met Jesse, I'll say that while Full Throttle Saloon was clearly played up, reality tv bullshit, he is THAT GUY, through and through. He was going to be successful, by God, and found a way. When they say someone is a force of nature, they're talking about him.

Used to piss off bar owners all the time.
Annie’s had just remodeled the stage and he carved Jackyl in the brand new ceiling with it.
Used to carve up barstools at other places.
He also used to do a (really bad) guitar solo and sing the Oscar Mayer hot dog song.
