Ultimate Warrior timed his RIP perfectly
Sharon can’t do this for Ozzy
Sharon can’t do this for Ozzy

Jani Lane and Bret Michaels should form a band called "Nelson II"

I don't think that he's allowed to die unless Sharon approves. They'll prop him up for the show somehow, but I don't see him making it much longer.

It’s true. She is the only reason he’s still alive but she probably makes him miserable.schlonginski wrote: ↑Sat Feb 15, 2025 8:53 am I don't think that he's allowed to die unless Sharon approves.
Now it’s up to her to put him out of his misery.
Many of our heroes will be gone soon. I hate to say that but nobody lives forever, especially those in such poor health.

If Sharon has to find a way to have Ozzy’s dead corpse re-animated in order to make this show happen, she will, dammit! Not even the almighty grim reaper is gonna take away her meal ticket!DonJuanDeMarco wrote: ↑Sat Feb 15, 2025 12:10 pmIt’s true. We all know there'll be an announcement a couple of days before the show saying "We regret to inform you that Ozzy's doctor advised us that he is unwell and cannot perform. However, the show will still carry on with guest singers to pay tribute to the Sabbath legacy and so Sauron can get another bad facelift."

That eventuality, prediction didn't take long to materialise. anyone with half a brain saw that this show was booked and laid out as such so if ozzy was dead or unable to perform it would still go on

They are already trying to lower expectations

It will be a fantastic celebration of Sabbath, regardless of how much Ozzy can or can’t participate.
He is a legend. Having provided millions with so many iconic albums, songs and performances over so many decades , Ozzy has nothing left to prove, no what all the negative Nancy’s may say.

Re: Will Ozzy survive to see his final show?
It will happen, rain or shine, dead or alive. I'm guessing he survives until the show, but I wonder how many songs he'll actually sing. Maybe two to four solo and two to four Sabbath? Plenty of guest stars to fill in on others, I guess, if that's all he can manage.
I assume he'll have to be play sitting down. (I hope he gets at least an Axl/Grohl-level throne or better, and not that sorry wheelchair Phil Collins had to use on his Genesis farewell tour.) Anyway, it is kind of hard to imagine Ozzy not being able to stumble around the stage, throwing buckets of water on fans while he tells them to clap their hands and go crazy, but that's where we're at...

Oz just let it slip he’s only doing “little bits and pieces” during the Sabbath set. Could have said that before it sold out you cunt.

He was on a stool with arms, not a wheelchair.CrankerBait wrote: ↑Sun Feb 16, 2025 5:34 pm I assume he'll have to be play sitting down. (I hope he gets at least an Axl/Grohl-level throne or better, and not that sorry wheelchair Phil Collins had to use on his Genesis farewell tour.)
Re: Will Ozzy survive to see his final show?
I'm guessing, since I'm not in the Ozzy camp, that MAYBE......He does 2 songs and trades off vocals with another singer.
My over/under is 2 songs, half of each.
Guessing War Pigs, Iron Man.......................

Re: Will Ozzy survive to see his final show?
If Ozzy was going to perform, he would have sung at the Hall of Fame. They didn't even show him getting on stage, Jack Black introduced him, and then they cut to a several minute clip of highlights to cover the transition.
This is now going to be 9 months LATER. He'll live until July, and he'll be at the show (unless he's in the hospital for some reason), but at best, they'll have him seated in a chair, move him out to introduce the Sabbath set, and then bring him back out for the encore where he'll mouth along to some backing tracks, the same as he did for when he "sang" at the football game, except this time, they're not even going to go through the motions of having him "stand" at the microphone.
I hope all the fans that go have a good time and know exactly what they're going for, and I do feel a little bad that he couldn't go out on his own terms, but GOD DAMN, I don't want to see two seconds of this.

What makes you think he isn't going out on his own terms? I bet you think he took no part in screwing over Daisley and Kerslake.Anthrax442 wrote: ↑Mon Feb 17, 2025 8:43 am

Re: Will Ozzy survive to see his final show?
Today it was announced GNR Tool and Rival Sons have been added to this ONE DAY event. This feels like added insurance.
You'll get 45-60 min sets from the big ones, 20s-30s from the smaller ones and 15 min of Ozzy and 20 min of Sabbath.
It's sold out, proceeds for a good cause, a sendoff for Ozzy and BS. Certainly not to be expected as a full set with the health issues and
100 bands. "It is what it is" as they say and anyone expecting more than a "tribute show" to BS and Ozzy's career beyond them in attendance and a few songs is delusional.

He's no saint. When I say "go out on his own terms", what I mean is he isn't able to have a proper farewell tour, and rather than actually perform, he's reduced to sitting on a chair looking like an invalid.Danzig in the Dark wrote: ↑Mon Feb 17, 2025 9:17 amWhat makes you think he isn't going out on his own terms? You'll get no argument from me about whether he screwed other musicians, and it's clear other people have always been responsible for his best work. He's provided the voice, and that's about it.

He could have done that, if he wanted. Like Paul Stanley, he didn't know when to leave the party.Anthrax442 wrote: ↑Mon Feb 17, 2025 10:51 amHe's no saint. Re: Will Ozzy survive to see his final show?
He could have had a proper farewell. It’s just that no one wants to stop while they can still go. When they can’t do it anymore, sometimes it just comes out of no where and then it’s too late to have a proper farewell.Anthrax442 wrote: ↑Mon Feb 17, 2025 10:51 amHe's no saint.
