I also was amused that the article praised "Cherry Medicine" which might be the worst song I've ever heard by him, I laughed at that, but not out loud.

Ace is obviously a mess musically these days, but back in the ‘70s like Eddie Kramer said, Ace’s guitar was the sound of Kiss.

KISS's sound was Paul's voice, his songs, and his rhythm guitar parts and tone. Next would be Gene's voice and his songs. Then Ace. A 20 second guitar solo doesn't make the song.

This reminded me that the MC5 are in. That must take the cake for the artist in there that has sold the least records. Ace Frehley solo prolly HAS sold more than them!


They are in for "musical excellence", just like Judas Priest. I wish the interviewer had asked him "What do the musical excellence category mean these days? Is it just a way to induct bands at a lower level?"

"Musical excellence" is simply throwing a band a bone.

Halford was not happy with Priest being inducted in that category.
