I am up to around 320 pages of stories and photos. I plan on mass company emailing it out when I am finished and retiring. It's not a "FU" book. Its just history.
320 pages in one paragraph no doubt, this will be a TOTAL HIT with your former colleagues.
lol. I can write and punctuate.
Here is an excerpt:
I had a lot of interesting conversations with Clayton. He was really proud of his grandson Josh. Clayton had several sons, but Greg, his oldest son, as the story goes, was at Clayton’s house in Anthoston, KY and got into an argument with his wife and left out angry. Clayton left out after him. His son drove up thru Robards and was crossing the non-gated railroad tracks and was struck by a train. Clayton was the first on the scene. He told me he reached into the cab for his son and his hand went into his son’s head. He was killed instantly.
I can’t imagine that. His dog “Bear” survived, and Clayton kept the dog. He took care of Bear forever and when Bear died, the next dog was named Bear too. Clayton told me that he started Josh a savings account at the credit union and put money into it every pay period. I can’t imagine what Clayton went thru losing his son and later on, his mom and brother in a car wreck. But those stories are in Part 2. Clayton also told me he found a baby one night in the bar screens right before I started. Odd how I remember the news report of it. I heard it on the radio before I started working here. He said he picked it up out of the water. It was a little boy. He took it into the headhouse and washed his body off in the sink and called the police to pick it up. Amazingly, according to Clayton, the baby was not damaged from going through the pumps to get here.
There were funny stories concerning Clayton too. If you were outside talking to him about the Plant or whatever, he would just pee in front of you if he had to go. No “excuse me” or anything. Just whip it out and water the yard. He was definitely old school.
Does that meet your approval??
I gave up on the second sentence. And you're writing 320 pages! Are you trying to bore everyone to death?
You don't exactly have the most riveting writing style on this message board.
