Hey guys, I'm looking to shore up at 2B and 3B. I have a glut of catchers and extra pitching. Check out the Zack Ryder team, that's me - for now.

BUMP
It's playoff time bitches!
Most of the usual suspects are in, except for JAKE! What happened buddy?
By the way - feel free to claim AJ Burnett on waivers. After a season when I didn't have the balls to waive his ass, I just don't have the stomach to waste a roster spot on him during the playoffs. AJ - you fuckin' suck!

Re: It's that time of year... Sludge fantasy baseball!
I have no idea. I was like 15 games ahead of the second place team for the first month of the year, and then my team just free fell for the last 4 months.
Having Matt Kemp take a giant shit as my first round pick didn't help, that's for sure. Oh yeah, and Chone Figgins, Scott Baker, etc etc etc.
Oh well, I'm in playoffs in another league and fighting for the last spot in yet another league (that one for money) so I'll enjoy my early break this year. I'll be back in March bitches. Good luck!

The Crappers are looking to heap a load on Punk this week and move on to round two....or did I just jinx myself?
Re: It's that time of year... Sludge fantasy baseball!
D'oh! I like how every addition I made this week was FAIL.
Til next year! Got four football leagues to focus on.

This week, a classic rivalry renewed: Crud's Crappers vs Canuckle Balls! PKOS and PGA Pros lurk in the distance...

Crud Crapped Out! I am now forced to say that I have bowed before Canuckle's Balls. Dude, you whooped my ass this week! My pitching was so bad, it looked like I neglected my team and never started anyone. Nice job. Now take PKOS Out!

You know - it's going to be pretty embarassing for you guys if a guy (a Canadian no less) from a city that lost their team wins this thing 3 years running and 4 out of the last 5! Then again, I've had a lot of time on my hands in the summers since the Expos left...
All kidding aside, PKOS' team is scary good. My offence has sucked all year, I've just eked out wins most weeks because my pitching has been good. As of now, every category is close.

I'd rather lose to you than the Kiwi.
It's funny, I'm playing for the championship in baseball and I'm in last place in Football. I don't think I've ever been in last, even when I didn't know what I was doing.

Oh yeah, by the way Cruddy, thanks for Joey Votto. He might have cost me Paps, but I made up the saves and my Canadian brother was pure gold this year.

I guess after tonight I should be streaming the shit out of my pitching staff but I'm not going to. The Steaks just don't have it this week. Barring some miracle, good job Wolf.

Re: It's that time of year... Sludge fantasy baseball!
I'm not counting my chickens. You have more pitchers going than me the last few days and some of the categories are close. I was getting my ass kicked like 8-2 on the Thursday of round 1 of the playoffs and came back to win 6-5. The difference maker for me has been that my team is actually hitting this week, which is rare.WhiteHouseSubsAC wrote:I guess after tonight I should be streaming the shit out of my pitching staff but I'm not going to. 6-5 Canada in the bottom of the 9th. As many as 8 categories are up for grabs, and the Americans hold the tiebreak. This is going to go down to the wire. The strategizing is all done, now it gets decided on the field...WhiteHouseSubsAC wrote:

Looks like it's going to come down to how Bonderman does for me in the nightcap. Guess you're a White Sox fan!!

Re: It's that time of year... Sludge fantasy baseball!
I was just going to post the same thing. A tie goes to you, so if you can turn just one category, you got me. Basically, if he gives you a quality start you'll win; if he's shit, you'll lose. My only ace in the hole is Ryan Raburn from the Tigers. I have him going tonight, so if he has a monster game at the plate maybe it can turn OBP my way, but I doubt it.WhiteHouseSubsAC wrote:Looks like it's going to come down to how Bonderman does for me in the nightcap. Good luck. It was a well played series.
I find it hilarious that between us we had 9 starters going today and got like 1 quality start so far...

Fuckin' White Sox are 1 for 8 with runners in scoring position. Bonderman has thrown a ton of pitches, and has allowed a lot of guys on base, but all the Sox have to show for it are two unearned runs. Unless they get to him in a big way soon, we're going to end up tied, which means I lose (I think).

You pulled it off PKOS - congratulations. I suppose it's fitting given that you dominated for a good part of the regular season (if not all of it).
Hurts to lose on a tiebreaker. I think I would rather have had my ass handed to me. So many "what ifs".
Great season everyone. Now lets enjoy the playoff races and playoffs.

Re: It's that time of year... Sludge fantasy baseball!
The last two years we have had ridiculously close endings to our playoff matchups. I really hate the tiebreaker thing too, but I'm glad I got the chance to finally be the bride instead of the bridesmaid (though I'm a pretty ugly bride...). Good job this year, see you next April!

Congrats all the way around. It was a good season, even if my team screwed the pooch at the end of the party. And wolf, as not as usually good as Paps was this year, I don't regret that trade. I managed to pick up McGeehee in April, Gardner Buck and Beltre in May
