Mitch Trubisky suuuuuuuuucks. It's unbelievable how the media here in Chicago were talking how the Bears were a Super Bowl contender all thru preseason. The national media were talking regression. Sports Illustrated picked them to finish last in the division at 7-9. The local Chicago media look like the fools. They do have an awesome defense, but they aren't getting anywhere near the Super Bowl My Chiefs on the other hand..... well, the march to Miami starts Sunday.

Re: The NFL Thread
What a weird situation, wouldn't it have been easier to just send the steelers a couple draft picks back when AB first became available for trade? I mean shit it was obvious he wanted NE and vice versa, so it starts with a little bit of drama with buffalo then ends with him pulling a george costanza doing whatever he can to get fired from OAK and boom he ends up right where he wants sans quite a bit of money BUT he still getting paid good and is playing for the #1 franchise in the league?? I don't like where this shit is headed with these athletes seemingly being able to pick and choose where they want to go WHILE they're under contract, this is the 3rd player in a matter of months that pulled this off, you had AD and Paul George do it in the NBA and now Browns allowed to do this shit, it's just going to get worse from here, what's next have the players decide who they allow to draft them from here on out?

Re: The NFL Thread
Which is why so many are thinking this whole situation was in the works, that would be an ugly look for the league and another scandal for NE, no matter what it just looks bad, Moss worked out for one great season in NE that's why BB has this Diva whisperer label, BUT, some of the guys haven't worked out, Ocho Cinco and Gordon still hasn't worked, he's pretty much on his last legs as well, So they have to count on 2 problem WR at once, it's the only team i would even think could pull it off, it's def going to be interesting to watch but I don't see them making it to the end of the season with both on the roster. If I had to guess Gordon will probably have more "issues" because Brown has got to know that if this is it, if he gets bounced he probably won't get anymore calls save for vince mcmahon.Tenacious_Dio wrote: ↑Sat Sep 07, 2019 6:42 pm
I doubt the Steelers had any interest in moving him to New England.

Re: The NFL Thread
I don't know, it's pretty damn hard to ignore this, with each hour more and more people are popping up on ESPN and different sites talking about it, Drew Rosenhaus was just interviewed and you could tell how full of shit he was, Something tells me the raiders are not going to take giving up those picks for a soap opera and nothing else and NOT have the league at least look into it, it's not like this was a long drawn out process it looks like a calculated move on AB's part, first with the failed Buffalo trade then the constant one after another Costanza self sabotage moves.

If. And it is a substantial if.
But if AB can stay focused for 15 games, I don't think there is a team out there that can compete with the Pats in 19.
With AB on one side, Gordon on the other, and Edelman in the slot, with White and Burkhead coming out of the backfield, who are you going to cover?
Of course this also supposes that everyone stays relatively healthy.

Re: The NFL Thread
I don't think anyone can compete with them right now let alone if AB actually can stay focused on football, I think it's going to look alot like the 07 pats as long as Brady keeps away from that cliffs edge they keep predicting he'll fall over over, Wasn't expecting that beat down of the steelers, but really the only team that stuck out in the AFC yesterday that could challenge NE is KC, Cleveland shit the bed, Baltimore will have to show out against a team that's not tanking for them to be taken seriously, who else was suppose to be in the mix, Jets? I don't see a team Beating the Pats this season if and when they make it to the Superbowl. That Pats team looked flat out dominate.. Sure, it was the Steelers, but, wow. Impressive.

Probably true, but with only Edelman and Gordon prior to the AB pick-up, you are one stupid move from just Edelman and Dorsett, so I wasn't as optimistic.dtmfs wrote: ↑Mon Sep 09, 2019 9:22 amI don't think anyone can compete with them right now let alone if AB actually can stay focused on football, I think it's going to look alot like the 07 pats as long as Brady keeps away from that cliffs edge they keep predicting he'll fall over over, Wasn't expecting that beat down of the steelers, but really the only team that stuck out in the AFC yesterday that could challenge NE is KC, Cleveland shit the bed, Baltimore will have to show out against a team that's not tanking for them to be taken seriously, who else was suppose to be in the mix, Jets? KC is legit, if they stay healthy it will be them and Pats in the AFC championship, it will be interesting to see who gets home field. As for Baltimore, I don't even think it is that, it all rests on Lamar not getting himself killed running around over the next 15 games.

It is all going to come down to health for the Pats, they stay healthy, I agree, but some key injuries could derail the whole thing.

Panthers are my team, but Cam Newton is a punk, the guy still hasn't mentally matured and you can tell he "checks out" the second they fall behind. He may be healthy this season, but the fucker is just going through the motions, he has no drive or passion to win.

Cam has spent the bulk of his career being both the Panthers' passing and running game. And now he can't do either. The guy has taken a lot more hits than Andrew Luck ever did. Wouldn't surprise me to see Cam follow him out the door.Bludegeon wrote: ↑Fri Sep 13, 2019 8:18 amForgot overrated.Wild Obsession wrote: ↑Thu Sep 12, 2019 7:10 pm Panthers are my team, but Cam Newton is a punk, the guy still hasn't mentally matured and you can tell he "checks out" the second they fall behind. Welp, that is a wrap for Pittsburgh for 19. The Saints have an uphill battle too, but Bridgewater is a decent QB.

Don't forget about the Steelers' two largest cap hits for 2019...Ben Roethlisberger ($26.2 million...out for the season) and Antonio Brown ($21.2 million...now with the Patriots).

Nobody knows it yet but Drew Brees was fitted with a bionic throwing hand today. "We can rebuild him. We have the technology..."
Seriously, I hope the motherfucker can at least pick up a ball and not drop it someday soon.

I'm a Philly fan and I love Brees except when he plays us. I hope he comes back strong, the league needs QBs like him.exitflagger wrote: ↑Wed Sep 18, 2019 8:49 pm Nobody knows it yet but Drew Brees was fitted with a bionic throwing hand today. "We can rebuild him. We have the technology..."

As an aside I'd also like to thank whoever in the Sludge Fantasy FB league that dropped him. I have no problem grabbing a guy that will get me 30-35 points a week going into the playoffs.

And there goes Antonio Brown again, BB said they were looking into his latest problem, i'm guessing he didn't like what he found, This dud will not get another shot and I highly doubt he makes the HOF, he has serious issues.
