Looks like Trump and his legal team just got fucked on this special master situation. The special master they put on their list which the DOJ agreed to is an honest judge who happens to be a Republican, and Trump's team miscalculated in thinking he would just roll over like the others. Whether it's in a filing or under oath in a trial, Trump and his lawyers will to have find a way to dance around the fact that he did not declassify those documents. It's either the truth, which fucks them, or perjury, which fucks them.

So this judge Cannon had to stick her neck in again and try to override the special master that Trump and the DOJ handpicked. This was her ruling in the first place. So he's admitting that being caught in a lie will diminish the trust with the American people, so it's in the country's best interest for him not to respond to questions. The fuck?

Around here in rural northeast GA, I'd say the GOP primary is going to come down to whomever thumps their bible the hardest at the rest of America. Right now, white redneck conservative evangelicals still largely worship the ground Donnie walks on, but if DeSantis can thump his bible and pander to the evangelicals a bit harder than Trump, he might have a shot here. As for me, I'm sticking with the Dems or the Libertarian candidate until the GOP can come up with someone who isn't a raging white Christian nationalist idiot who wants to demonize LGBTQ people, coddle racists, and force women to give birth.
