Roger Bennett from Men In Blazers calls Suarez the Anne Hathaway of English football . . . they both have 111 teeth.

He went to cheer the crowd in front of Suarez. At least wast in wasn't Liverpool fans.MickeyG wrote:I turned it off after the final whistle I didn't see what Evra did.

Re: **OFFICIAL Association Football 2011/2012 Season thread*
I saw some clips of Evra celebrating on the BBC website. Also saw Kennys after match interview which was embarrassing. Then saw Fergies interview and he basically said Suarez shouldn't play for Liverpool again. He blasted him good style.

Someone at Liverpool surely has to point out the PR disaster this has turned into. I honestly believe that if this wasn't involving a Manchester United player they wouldn't be so myopic.Hellsinkey wrote:Dogleash defending Suarez again.
Evra shouldn't have celebrated in the way he did and the Red Issue fanzine was like pouring petrol on a fire, but booing a player who reported an acknowledged racial slur? I hope they win fuck all this season
Boris Johnson was right, Liverpool wallows in grief and the victim mentality.
Not really. Aside from Euro 2000, I can't think of an international tournament in which England were so terrible. Sure England qualified impressively twice, but as a seeded team that's the least we should expect.Big loss losing Capello.
Whoever is in charge should take a developmental squad to Euro 2012. It's unlikely we would win even with our 'best' players anyway. Gerrard, Terry, Lampard, Ferdinand should be left at home. Too old, too many opportunities, why give them one more chance?
Re: **OFFICIAL Association Football 2011/2012 Season thread*
Big climb down now from Liverpool with their apologies. The owners must have stepped in finally. Liverpool fans once again on the net calling for "Yanks out".

Never mind all the Suarez drama, what is more concerning is the utter crap we played for most of the second half. Totally bossed. Downing, Henderson and Adam utter shite.
BTW, is it too early to give RVP player of the year? If he goes down, Gunners are fucked.

I questioned these signings and thought for a club with ambitions of top 4 and challenging for the title that they were poor buys. Maybe Henderson could come good because he's still young.jellyheadrobertson wrote:Never mind all the Suarez drama, what is more concerning is the utter crap we played for most of the second half. Also Carroll at 35 million.

Hey!! He's almost as good as Heskey. Seriously though, he is starting to play a bit better . The only plus is he is out scoring Torres. He is like Crouch-a giant who get's beaten in the air all the time and rolls around on the floor a lot.pieceofme wrote:jellyheadrobertson wrote: Also Carroll at 35 million.
Re: **OFFICIAL Association Football 2011/2012 Season thread*
Even Rafael beat Carroll in the air a few times on Saturday. Football wise, the good thing for Liverpool on Saturday is that Chelsea and Newcastle both got beat. I saw Chelsea and they were woeful. Far better at home than away this season. Saw the 1st half of Newcastle, but they were getting spanked so I turned it off once the 5th went in.

All hail Zambia!
Champions of Africa . . . due to Drogba missing a pk during regulation. Kolo Toure and Gervinho miss back to back penalties to give the championship to Zambia. Exciting match all the way through. Come on you Chipolopolos!!

From Du Nord
Volaris Airlines is a new sponsor for Chivas USA this year, and is a budget carrier that flies daily routes between Mexico and several Southwestern USA cities.

Like it or not MLS is growing in popularity and quality.
And I thought that was cool.

I also hope Cardiff wins tonight.

It should have been over before Norwich scored, missed a few chances. Then after they scored United started trying and could have had a few more before Giggs finally finished it.

Too bad for Cardiff, two posts at penalties.

Re: **OFFICIAL Association Football 2011/2012 Season thread*
Dippers will be made up. But they were poor. 2-2 after extra time, and then lucky with the penalties. But let them dream. Next year will be their year!

So would you say that John Terry is trying to keep a low profile? Funny how almost all of the black players are in the middle with him.

Fox Soccer is showing England v Brazil from May 17, 1992 . . . Martin Tyler and Andy Gray with the call

Fuckin' City won again. It was expected against Bolton, but they've got to fuck up sometime.
