Obviously awesome if you're English, but I'm not sure I'd consider it a truly great game of rugby. The second match in the series I was talking about (ie the one NZ lost) was better.

I completely agree.

A lot of these responses are focusing more on the results than the actual game. For example the Champions league final 1999 between ManU and Bayern Munich was not a good game and truth be told Bayern Munich deserved to win but as a ManU fan I was happy we won. Also the finish to that game was unbelievable.

That post about England winning the 2003 world cup final just brought back good memories.

To be honest, Zinzan Brooke's drop goal from about 45m out was my favourite thing in that semi anyhow... Not often a No. 8 does that...
