At his age and with his hard living, a liver transplant or liver cancer surgery is my estimation. If the Motley shows are either moved or canceled this coming September, I would lean towards the situation being a bit more serious than immediately treatable.
He would be ineligible for a liver transplant due to being an alcoholic. No amount of money would get him one, ask Gregg Allman.
That is false. Mayo Clinic and John’s Hopkins will do liver transplant’s for alcoholics. Some hospitals may require 6 months sobriety before such transplant.
This...to a degree. Alcoholics and IV drug addicts get transplanted all the time; they have to be sober/clean for a period of time, historically 6 months but an increasing amount of centers are allowing shorter periods of abstinence as long as the candidate is deemed reasonably low risk for relapse. They have whole multidisciplinary committees that make these decisions and you need a psych eval, social work eval and solid evidence you're in some form of treatment for your addictions.
That said, Vince is probably not a great candidate but fame and money CAN go along way. Mickey Mantle likely got fast-tracked, David Crosby and Lou Reed got livers, and UCLA even transplanted a Yakuza kingpin who donated a bunch of money to the hospital.

Vince's risk of relapse is so damn high, he won't make it being wheeled out to the car without cracking a bottle open.

Mick was always my favorite member of Motley Crue. Lots of my friends as well. *shrug*
Only on Sludge.... in the real world there are Crue fans who barely know his name. He doesn't suck but doesn't stand out either in any way. Except being the least likeable in the band and a f&%king deadbeat dad. But you have to at least read The Dirt to know any of that.

How pathetic do you have to be to be butthurt about a guy who did something you didn't like over 50 years ago?

Only on Sludge does anyone give a shit about his personal life. He was a great guitarist and looked cool as hell when the 1st 2 albums came out. Then again, I wasn’t a 14 year old girl.
At that time, people knew everyone’s name in the band just like KISS or the Beatles. No one had killed anyone driving drunk or released any pornos yet though and they were just a cool band with 2 great albums out so maybe that’s why you think no one knew his name. Not sure when people started hating on him, but it sure wasn’t in the early-mid ‘80s. He was always considered the only legit musician in the band. After Theater of Pain I really didn’t care about the band at all. He certainly seems like the least hatable guy in that band if you are judging them based on their personal lives.
Maybe you saw that awful movie where he had like 3 lines and thought that was reality?
Vince wouldn't be a worse candidate for a liver transplant than John Phillips. I'll never forget some tabloid TV show busting Papa John drinking in a bar in Palm Springs only a couple of months after his transplant. I think he mentioned something about "breaking in" his new liver. If you believe half of what has been said about Phillips, boozing on a transplanted liver wouldn't rank all that high on his list of shitty life choices...

All 4 guys of Motley are horrible guys. I cant see any of them having any "real" friends & by reading their books, it doesnt look like they do. Some people can look past the personal life & just enjoy the music, which is fine also.
