"DIDN'T PREPARE VERY WELL," last time I checked, that is the coaches job. Just ask Wade Phillips.“It was a new play,’’ said Belichick. “They hadn’t run it this year. We had prepared for plays like that, but we obviously didn’t prepare very well."

No shithead. I am not blaming the refs, the fans, the weather or anyone else for the loss like you do. I said the Patriots had a bad game and made a lot of mistakes. I gave Cleveland credit for playing well. New England shot themselves in the foot about 8 or 10 times in that game and didn't deserve to win it.poizond13 wrote:Typical classless Pats fan.

You obviously don't listen to many of Belichick's post game conferences. He always takes the blame after losses and never takes credit for himself after the wins. Of course he said they needed to play better and prepare better. He says that exact thing after every loss. "But we obviously didn’t prepare very well." translated means "I told those stupid assholes to look out for stuff like that but they didn't listen and now are in for the hardest week of practice they've had all year."Tymaster wrote:For once I agree with Greg. Oh, believe me, I got my fill of Belichick in the early 90's. Talk about a tale of two coaches. He definitely learned from his mistakes in Cleveland. Hard to believe that Cleveland's last home playoff game and playoff victory were with Belichick. His only playoff appearance in Cleveland as well. No one would have ever guessed he would wind up doing what he has done in New England. Then again, I don't think anyone knew how good Brady was going to be...SkyDog112046 wrote:You obviously don't listen to many of Belichick's post game conferences. The Patriots played poorly and the Browns played very well on both sides of the ball. Belichick fucked up by leaving Gronkowski in. Peyton Hillis looked like the best back in the league and COlt McCoy played pretty smart football. Brady played about as well as he could but wasn't getting much help from anyone other than Welker, Hernandez and Woodhead. Welker successfully kicking an extra point was about the only highlight for me.

Re: The COLTS Road BACK To The Superbowl Starts Sunday!!
Good game today, not always pretty, but a hard earned victory nonetheless. Our defense truly won this game for us. Offense was rusty and the loss of so many key components finally caught up to us. Defensively, though, that was an incredible performance. We shut down their rushing game and kept their passing game in check. To win a game this way when our offense was so out of synch was impressive. However, we'll need to get some players back from injury to compete against a solid Patriots team next weekend.
Meanwhile, we find ourselves in first place in the division, and we will be tied for 2nd best in the conference after tonight's game. Once we get healthy, we will be a force to be reckoned with. On the other hand, the Texans are back in last place in the division, as predicted.

There is no dominant team in the league right now. If you look at the AFC, there are 10 or 11 teams that can pretty much beat one another on any given day. This is shaping up to be one of those years where instead of a couple of 13-14 win teams that get the byes and a couple of 11-12 win teams taking the 3 & 4 seeds that it will be a bunch of 10-11 win teams where tie breakers decide everything. And right now there are 3 teams among the top 5 in the AFC that have the edge in conference records and strength of schedule over Indy. If things stay tight those things are going to matter, especially with all the division matchups the last 2 weeks of the season.poizond13 wrote:True but one of those teams will be a wild card since they are in the same division. Look at Indy's schedule the rest of the way:
New England in NE where the Patriots are always tough
San Diego that is always strong over the second half of the season
Dallas who has players playing for their jobs
Tennessee in TN
Jacksonville that now has something to play for
Oakland who is surprisingly playing well(must have gotten some high powered crack)
Tennessee again - and it's tough for a decent team to beat another decent team twice in 4 weeks.
Now without trying to handicap each of those games and just looking at the schedule overall, would it really surprise you if Indy went 4-3 or 5-2 the rest of the way, given the jeckyll & hyde nature of almost every team in the league this season? Because that would put them right in the 10-11 win range and 6 of those games are conference games so it will be tough for them to catch the teams that currently own the tiebreakers over them.
Re: The COLTS Road BACK To The Superbowl Starts Sunday!!
I like where we are right now. This is the toughest wave of injuries we've dealt with since Peyton Manning was drafted, and yet, we are holding our ground and have even improved our position over the past few weeks. We've won 3 out of 4 games despite being decimated with injuries and having to go on the road a lot. We have a lot of home games coming up, we are going to get a lot of people back from injury, and we will be in great position going into the playoffs.SkyDog112046 wrote:There is no dominant team in the league right now. Tough but winnable game coming up this weekend. I think we match up well against the Pats because they have no rushing attack and their defense is weak. Peyton Manning will pick them apart even with the practice squad receivers and running backs we've been playing with. Brady will certainly be efficient with the underneath and short throws, but hopefully we can get an early lead and make Brady get a little impatient. If Addai, Collie, and Brackett can return this weekend, I love our chances of winning this game outright.

I like how when the Colts were in third place it didn't matter, but now, tie breakers and such all of a sudden mean something now that Indy has climbed back into the mix. P13, you are such a fucking homer douchebag. I mean that from the bottom of my shriveled little black heart. I have never really given two shits about Indy or their record other than how it impacted the team I root for, but just for you P13, I hope Manning's arm falls off and your coach has a midseason breakdown due to his participation in an unwanted pregnancy with Farve's wannabe squeeze. Goddamn you are a fucking asshole. You make run of the mill assholes look like virgin pussy. Really, you do.

Yes, pretty much as I sais things would work out, oh, about three weeks ago. Again, I am not a Texan player, nor am I a coach, or a member of their organization. Re: The COLTS Road BACK To The Superbowl Starts Sunday!!
If you have been watching more than just Indy games you would see that every team that is currently in the playoff mix has been up and down and it's very tough to determine which version of each team is going to show up each week. Witness Denver getting destroyed by Oakland and then coming back the next week and destroying KC. See New England going to Cleveland and looking bad and then going into Pittsburgh and crushing the team that everyone thought was currently the best team in the AFC. Vegas is loving this shit right now.poizond13 wrote:Tough but winnable game coming up this weekend. Looking at New England, they certainly had a collective brain fart in Cleveland. It's a team with a lot of young players and new pieces in all three phases of the game. Young players sometimes think they can do things their way and get away with it. But then after eating a little humble pie after the game they got their asses handed to them by Belichick all week in practice, stopped believing their hype, and decided to play within their system. And that defense shut down Pittsburgh pretty good, stopped their running game, and sacked Rapistberger 5 times and pressured him a bunch more times. And New England's own offense looked in sync because the receivers stopped rounding off their routes, their line played disciplined, and they were even able to run the ball.
So what does this mean for this week? Who knows? There are 2 aspects of this game that worry me: the kicking game, and the officiating. The Patriots lost their kicker for the season and his replacement isn't that good. Kickoffs are short making for long returns, they've lost 8 or 9 yards of field goal range, and even extra points are an adventure at this point. Those are all things which are important in close games. And we all know the history of the officiating during Patriots/Colts games over the past 4 or 5 seasons. Hopefully they call a little more of a fair game away from Indy. But I still think New England can win this game if the right Patriots team shows up on Sunday.

Re: The COLTS Road BACK To The Superbowl Starts Sunday!!
Cincinnati handed the Colts that game Sunday. Literally. They said, "Here's the ball...take it". The Bengals suck.SkyDog112046 wrote:If you have been watching more than just Indy games you would see that every team that is currently in the playoff mix has been up and down and it's very tough to determine which version of each team is going to show up each week.poizond13 wrote:Tough but winnable game coming up this weekend.

I hate the Patriots, and I hate We13.
So I guess today was lose-lose. But for We13 it was just lose.
Great game though.
