The Cowboys fucking suck.

Jones is just ITCHING to not have to hire Garrett so I'm sure he's happy.

New England wins and clinches the #1 seed
Pitt already won and locked up a spot, looking pretty good for the #2
Baltimore wins and locks up a spot
KC wins and gets closer to the #3 seed
Jets lose but look like they are about to grab the #6 seed
Jax loses and looks like they are out.

Right now in the AFC it's:
Patriots - bye
Steelers - bye

Balt vs Indy
NYJ vs KC

I can't see Indy beating Baltimore even if it is going to be an indoor game with Colt-friendly officiating. NY vs KC should be real interesting. Gotta love wild card weekend.

The Pats are a pretty good regular season team that will be exposed come January. The thing they have going for them most is home field and the famous New England officiating. No doubt, the Zebras will be doing their best to give Tom and the midgets the advantage, but I like our chances of going there and getting a win. We were one play away from beating them in November and we are playing better football right now. We are running the ball well and stopping the run, which will bode well for us come January.

HAHAHA yeah...cause nobody kicks more ass in the postseason than the Colts.

I'm pretty sure the Pats have a better postseason record over the last decade than the Colts do, not that it matters to you.

As an aside, how gay is the fucking "Go Pack Go" song they keep playing at Lambeau?

Pretty damn gay.

As another aside, wow, what a fucking disaster this is turning into for the G-men. Talk about a team that sucks come December.

It's rich hearing a fan of a Bill Polian team accusing another of getting home cooking from the refs.

Current potential playoff teams the Patriots played this season:
5 - 1 AFC
7 - 1 Overall

As compared to Indy
1 - 2 AFC
2 - 3 Overall

I can't believe the Lions have a three game winning streak going. And against playoff caliber teams on top of it.

I hope this year will finally be the straw that breaks Norv Turner's back in San Diego, but I have the feeling I'll still be hoping the same thing next year.

For all the shit Schottenheimer got at least he was good for 12 wins a season and a division title. Turner doesn't have his teams ready to play until October. They should get rid of him and go after a big-name coach. Shouldn't be hard to get one between the weather and having Rivers at QB.

Divisional Round is my favorite round. I think historically, the divisional round has a tradition of having the closest scoring contests.

Singletary GONE. They didn't even wait til Monday morning. I think the screaming match with Troy Smith on national tv was the last straw for the organization. Not that I agree with Troy Smith, but it showed a coach who has completely lost control of his team (and at that time, temper.)

I like the divisional round best too. But the great thing about wild card weekend is that you have 4 games two weeks in a row, and once the divisionals are over its 2 games, 2 weeks, 1 game, and done.

that footage should be filed under, "things NOT TO DO, unless you want to be fired as an NFL coach"

i watched the footage over and over. it was comedy.
Singletary has no shame.
he had no business being a head coach and now the front office embarrassed him by letting him go before the final week of the season.

Damn Rodgers was awesome yesterday. I'm predicting a double digit asspounding next week against the Bears. I can't remember the last time a Bears Packers game actually meant something. Probably because it hasn't happened in my lifetime.

I've only seen each of those teams play twice, but from what I've seen the Packers appear to be better on both sides of the ball. If Cutler is forced to have to match points with Rodgers it could get ugly.

Special teams is still a third of the game. Even when the opposition doesn't kick to Hester, the field position Cutler's been handed these last few weeks has been incredible.

The Bears just need to slam Rodgers head on the ground. Worked for the Lions.

You been making any money off the Lions this year, Red?
They're what, 11-4 against the spread?

I think he deserves coach of the year status for it!!! 8) I've been watching the NFL as long as I can remember (probably since 1980 or so, I remember Brian Sipe as a Brown and the Bengals with no stripes on their helmets) and I have never seen anything quite like that on the sideline. With the exception of Buddy Ryan slugging a fellow coach.

I remember June Jones getting into it far worse with Jeff George in Atlanta.

George Suspended by Falcons
Published: September 24, 1996

SUWANEE, Ga., Sept. 23— The Falcons suspended Jeff George today, one day after the quarterback threw a tirade at Coach June Jones after being pulled from a game against Philadelphia, and there were strong indications that George's career in Atlanta was over.

''He left me no choice,'' Jones said after meeting with George, who departed the Falcons' complex without comment. ''I told him I'd call him tomorrow, and we'll see where it leads from there.''

Jones said all options would be considered, including a trade, although George's $3.64 million contract could make that difficult.

''It's just a bad situation,'' Jones said. ''I don't know how it's going to sort out.''

George was benched after throwing an interception in the third quarter of what became a 33-18 loss that left the Falcons at 0-3.

After being replaced by Bobby Hebert, George followed Jones down the sideline, arguing with the coach.

After the game, George was repentant about the language he used with his coach, saying, ''I need to learn a little bit about that, I guess.''

Being an Eagles fan I totally remember watching that game.

Jeff George may have been a dick but he had one of the hardest throws I've seen. I always rooted for him to get another chance but you can only burn so many bridges.
