Two Lover~ Joaquin Phoenix and Gwyneth Paltrow.Bland acting but just to see Gwyneth get fucked was worth it.

Insidious
It looked good, but couldn't hear a damn thing.
a pack of about 75 unruly teenagers made impossible to hear a damn thing.

It ruled. We saw it at the drive-in and luckily had the speakers in the dash. Go give it another go for sure!

I thought about going back mid week, when the kiddos are at school.
Re: Rate the last movie you saw
I can't do movie theaters. I want to murder people. I always end up with the noisiest, most annoying assholes around me. If you have a drive-in within a 100 miles, go see it there and make a night of it...always makes for a creepier setting. (Ours is dead. Maybe 13 cars there total-yet still annoying with their lights.)
That said, see Insidious again! I loved it. I jumped and squealed a few times, and straight up Man-Screamed "AHHHHH!" during one part.
Scream 4 played before it and it was decent. Basically a copy-cat of the first one so you knew what was coming most times, but some good slasher scenes.

Scream 3 (2000) - 2/10. Terrible movie, made worse by Courtney Cox's haircut.

The Other Guys -
I thought Marky Mark would ruin it which is why I waited so long to see it. But I was surprised at how funny the movie was. I laughed out loud more than I had in a long time. Seemed like a lot of improv but it didn't hurt. I'll give it 9/10 just because it was a little too long.

The Hanoi Hilton (1987) - 7/10. Pretty good flick. Starred Michael Moriarity, Hutch, and the pedophile principal from Ferris Bueller.

I liked this one too. I actually never expect Wahlberg to derail a movie. 7/10 for me.fatbass wrote:The Other Guys -

Recently watched Inglourious Basterds. What the fuck!? I'll preface this with a dislike for Tarantino in general, but I suffered thru this because the wife wanted to watch it. Fuck off, Tarantino. 3/10.

FUBAR (2002) - 7/10
While I've seen this one multiple times, I think FUBAR 2 is much better.

Death Proof 6/10 - I don't hate this as much as most people seem too, but I think it would have worked better split into 2 short films, each one featuring one of the groups of girls.
The Wrestler - 8/10 - Seen this one many times, still like it just as much.

Up In The Air - 6/10. Not bad for a movie about relationships and feeling stuff. Nobody's even happy in the end. Would have been a 7 with a prettier female lead.

That film was just depressing. Speaking of bridges...Fletch wrote:The Bridge (2006) - 6/10. Sort of interesting doc on people that take a swan dive off the Golden Gate Bridge. Good start, good ending - inbetween is so-so.
Crazy Heart w/ Jeff Bridges- 7/10
Good performance from Bridges...not a lot seems to happen though. I really didn't need to hear all those terrible country songs played in their entirety either. It's a fucking movie not a live concert DVD....

Megamind. 7/10. Good, but it needs to be redone with Doc Hammer and Jackson Publick writing it. The beginning felt like I was watching a sanitized Venture Brothers episode.

Re: Rate the last movie you saw
The Ugly 8/10 not your average slasher movie. has a few nice "holy shit" moments, some victims who are more evil than the killer, and wraps it all up in a nice ribbon of "what the fuck was that all about?"

The 8th Plague -3782/10 i would rather dig my eyes out with a dull, rusty grapefruit spoon than have to watch that steaming pile again. the best acting in the movie was done by a dead opossum.
