With the bands/singers this site is about, I'm surprised that a over the top singer would generate this kinda hate.
He's very popular at home so clearly he's connecting with an audience.
As far as him being derivative...short of Prince (who still had TONS of influences) who can we call a true original?
What I saw was rock star charisma in a Mick Jagger vein...and when was the last time you saw that?
We old heads need to enjoy our heroes while they are around, and GTF outta the way for the next wave.
And if you get off the oldies station on Apple Music/Spotify you may be surprised to see some acts that will get your interest who aren't eligible for Social Security.

The preening, strutting, bare chested carrying on. In a Jagger vein...not just like Jagger but in the style. Times are lean, we gotta take what we get.Sleek wrote: ↑Tue Sep 09, 2025 11:22 amWhat show were you watching?RicksPickWrangler wrote: ↑Tue Sep 09, 2025 11:11 am What I saw was rock star charisma in a Mick Jagger vein...

No. This is wrong.

You had me going until this.Shredderpete wrote: ↑Mon Sep 08, 2025 6:23 pm I work at a guitar shop and lemme tell you something.
I regularly hear riffs and solos from Ozzy, Megadeth, Van Halen, Metallica, Type O Negative, Racer X (ALL the kids know Scarified).

I bet you like Greta Von Zeppelin too.sirthx2 wrote: ↑Tue Sep 09, 2025 6:19 amThat's not the point!! Fuck! Would you rather have this 'no talent' up there with Nuno (and Derek Frank on bass who's a pal of mine, but who fucking cares?) doing Ozzy songs with Marshall stacks shaking the stage exposing music to people that would never hear it, or Megan Thee Stallion singing about her latest yeast infection? Fuck!!
Re: Ozzy Tribute -MTV VMAs
I don't like them at all, but I'd be totally cool with them being up there playing guitar solos with Gibson SGs and Firebirds in front of millions of people. Why can't you people understand? It's this guy (& Greta Von Zeppelin) or shitty new laptop-pop. They're not booking 75 year-old Stephen Pearcy to play these shows. I'll take this dude screaming into a mic with Nuno playing lead any day of the week because the alternative blows.Bono Nettencourt wrote: ↑Tue Sep 09, 2025 1:29 pmI bet you like Greta Von Zeppelin too.sirthx2 wrote: ↑Tue Sep 09, 2025 6:19 amThat's not the point!!
