Urnan Dictionary:
1. boat raced 57 up, 15 down
To be beaten very badly at something, especially in such a fashion that you were behind from the start and never had a chance. Comes from the Boat Race, an annual rowing competition between Oxford and Cambridge, in which the first side to get ahead can move to the middle of the river (where the current is fastest) and is almost never overtaken thereafter.
Yep, OK got boat raced.

Sooners shit the bed.
Landry Jones does not have what it takes to lead this team when it counts
the most.
He's destined to be a 1st round NFL pick, but I don't envision him having a long NFL career.

Those fools are still undefeated. I guess that task is not very difficult
when ND has been playing 6 games at home and 1 game on the road
to date.
HUGE test will be at Oklahoma this Saturday night.

They've now played 5 top 30 defenses, 3 of which are in the top 15. They have beat 4 ranked teams.

It was quite obvious you hadn't watched one ND game all year.

They are on every single week.
Before the game at OU, I was under the impression the teams ND faced to date were not very good competition.
I also believed their team speed would suffer vs OU, but obviously I forgot to factor the Landry Jones factor into the equation.

They were 8-0 in '02? Seems like they've been average longer than that.

Re: College Football season has begun!
Yeah, how could the only team that had beaten 3 top 25 teams not played anybody? Now it's 4. You listen to the media too much. I you had watched a whole game you would know how good their defense is. Now you know.
It's funny, that the whole week of the Stanford game, everybody was saying how good Stanford was, how they beat USC and were going to shut ND out. Then as soon as they beat Stanford, Stanford sucks. When Bama beat Michigan, oh what a huge out of conference win. When ND beats them? They are overrated and have no qb. BYU has a top 5 defense. Going into the game. No way ND could score on them. When they beat them, oh they play in a shitty conference and their defense is overrated.
Keep hating, haters.

The way the media portrayed Michigan earlier this year, you would have though that Robinson was the second coming and was going to lead his team to a national championship.
That guy can't throw and is not a future NFL QB.

the media has to create a story and they will do just about anything to make sure the public believes a certain team is better than they actually are or can be.
happens every season in CFB
especially with the pre-season rankings. those pre-season rankings allow the networks to spend 1 hour discussing those teams and how wonderful the incoming freshman class is, blah blah blah

geez, you make it sounds like its a crime to have an opinion that is
against ND.
a team that has not won anything substantial in many, many years.
they are enjoying a couple good months and all the golden domers are coming out of the closet and preaching to CFB fans about how great they
are again.

suck it, bitch.
How can you say a team that had 3 wins versus top 25 teams, and were the only team at the time who could say that , has an easy schedule? You don't talk about the patty cake schedule Bama has played.ND has yet to play anybody worth talking about
6 out of 7 games at home already. WOW! What a difficult schedule they
have played.
ND faced a Mich St. team that was once ranked #10. Currently that team
is 4-4
Difficult to say if ND has the team speed to defeat an elite level BIG 12 team
like OU.
You know why? Because you sounded like Colin Cowherd and Rick Reilly. You should've just posted their twitter rants.
You're more than welcome to your opinion. Unless it's just somebody sles's opinion and you just stole it because you never watch them play.
Oklahoma got beat up old school style. Stanford and BYU put up a bigger fight. After OU got hammered the first 15 minutes they acted like they didn't even want the ball anymore.

Re: College Football season has begun!
As a true Crimson Tide fan, I have to admit they have had a somewhat "soft" schedule...but, that schedule wasnt so soft prior to certain teams shitting the bed:NeverSurrender wrote: How can you say a team that had 3 wins versus top 25 teams, and were the only team at the time who could say that , has an easy schedule? Michigan - preseason highly ranked(#8) with future 1st rounder and Heisman contender Denard Robinson at the helm...and Bama destroyed them
Western Kentucky - true non competitor
Arkansas - preseason highly ranked(#10) and possible SEC Championship team prior to coaching change and quarterback Tyler Wilson, add in an early loss to ULM prior to the Bama game = shit the bed
Florida Atlantic - true non-competitor
Ole Miss - True SEC team that has tied Michigan with the most points posted against the Tide to date this season, at 14
Missouri - decent team, still getting used to SEC play
Tennessee - SEC rival, good defense, decent offense...still getting all their pieces in order
Mississippi State - came in @ 7-0 on the season, ranked for the first time in a long time, and a team that could easily be #1 ranked in other Conferences..and Bama dismantled them in 3 quarters...
LSU - currently #5, they are having a real strange year, but are still in the hunt and hold a grudge from last year...this will be a hell of a game Saturday..no cake here at all
Texas A&M - ranked #16 as of now, great coach in Sumlin, 1st year in SEC play and they just hung 63 points on Auburn, the 2011 National Champs...should be a great game
Western Carolina - true non-competitor
Auburn - Bitter in-state rival and always a "do or die" game for both teams...could go either way. Will be the hardest Auburn plays this season for sure..
Then, if Bama pulls out the 12 win season, they will have to face either Georgia(#6) or Florida(#7) for the SEC Championship...and both of these teams are still hungry and still dangerous. Either of the 2 could put up a hell of a fight against either Oregon or Kansas State...or even ND...
Bama may have a semi-soft schedule, but the fact remains, there isnt a defense out there that is more dangerous or productive...nor a team that has the depth in all positions as the Tide. Saban has 3rd stringers that perform better than a lot of 1st stringers in major teams and conferences...a quarterback, AJ McCarron, who is 122 of 177, with no interceptions and 18 TD`s...and still gets no Heisman love. The Tide is a pure football team...their only half weakness is in Special Teams.
I would love to see Bama and ND in the big game...been a good long time since these "old programs" have had a major game against each other...

Re: College Football season has begun!
Preseason rankings are bullshit.
Yeah, you've got depth. The only problem in 3 years they're going to take away every championship your team has won in this stretch, just like they did USC. You wait, and remember I said it. Bama is crooked as fuck.
And ND's defense is pretty damn good. Michigan scored two tds against Bama, but 0 against Notre Dame. Notre Dame's defense didn't give up a td for 5 whole games. And they go to class.

Re: College Football season has begun!
Bama hasnt had to give up any championships so far, and they have a very nice collection. We shall see, but I dont see anything as corrupt in Bama as the Cam Newton deal was in Auburn, and Auburn was cleared of any wrongdoing in that instance, so i guess we will just have to see...NeverSurrender wrote:Preseason rankings are bullshit.

I cant see Nick Saban putting himself or his school in that type of trouble...where was this talk when he was at LSU? Or, are you talking about Mal Moore? Coach Moore has very loose scruples, but everyone knows that already...
But, isnt ALL college football crooked? Isnt that the consensus around here? So why is it you never hear this type of shit until a program starts becoming dominant?

Oh, when the shit hits the fan, Bama will be fucked. No way they assembled that team legally. Newton was one person. And I agree, they should be punished.

Re: College Football season has begun!
I still don't buy into ND really. They lost, in my eyes, to Stanford. That WAS a touchdown! That game is on par with Green Bay and Seattle.
And I am no Bama fan, but I think they will pretty easily beat ND. ND will not score a TD on Bama, but Bama will score on them. Last time I checked, that is how you win. Call out the Michigan game if you like. Bama has a way of letting teams get in there when they have the game in control. See Mizzou. They know they are number 1 and until they are actually beat, no worries. It's not media hype. Bama is just that good... but yes, they have had an easy schedule.
And don't count out South Carolina representing the East in the SEC Championship game. It's not likely, but if Florida loses to Mizzou and Georgia loses to either Auburn or Ole Miss, while SC wins against Arkansas, SC is in. Not likely to beat Bama, but I will just hold onto that 2010 win for now.
We'll see. SC doesn't have that same mojo on the road as they do at home... hope that changes for Clemson!

Your opinion on the td is one thing but comparing that to Seatlle GB means you can't be taken seriously. I stopped reading there. I've watched the thing 500 times and can't figure out if he scored or not. Though i do believe his elbow was down and the whistle blew anyways. But you're comparing it to something everybody knows was a bad call, including myself, a noted Gay Bay hater. Ridiculous.Stratman2008 wrote:I still don't buy into ND really. Don't let your hate blind you. You will come off as dumb as fuck. LOL @ Green Bay and Seattle.
So, you compared a call that 99 percent of football fans couldn't figure out to the worst call in years in college or pro, and you're not buying into ND after a 17 point win on the road in Norman?
yeah, your opinion means something.
