NCAA Tourney?
Anyone have any predictions for brackets or the whole thing?
I'd like to see UConn do well, but I think with the run they had to win the Big East tourney they may run out of gas.

Re: NCAA Tourney?
I loved Jay Bilas' piss and vinegar Sunday regarding teams that had no chance to win it all being left out. Bubble teams don't win the whole thing Jay. Except NC State. I think they were an eleven seed. 30 years ago.
I went to the final four last year and learned two things. College basketball players are INCREDIBLY inferior to their professional counterparts. And white people LOVE college basketball. I've never seen so many white people gathered together in one spot outside of a Billy Graham revival on television once when I was a kid.

last year was awesome tons of small schools taking down the big schools. Still the bias media wont give them any respect, dosent matter tons of the big schools will go down early. Kansas,Ohio State wont make the Elite 8
Jani Lane and Bret Michaels should form a band called "Nelson II"

If you're rooting for upsets that's fine. I'm rooting for good basketball. At the Final Four last year there was like eight minutes without either Michigan St or Butler making a basket. And it wasn't good defense. It was shitty offense.LAglamrocker wrote:last year was awesome tons of small schools taking down the big schools. We love college ball because it's still somewhat like the game that was invented, not some one man show with the superstar players telling the coach what to do.. And in every sport that is professional, the pros are superior to college.johnk5150 wrote:I loved Jay Bilas' piss and vinegar Sunday regarding teams that had no chance to win it all being left out. Re: NCAA Tourney?
when Arizona won, they were like 4th in the Pac-10? still a major school.
bias media wont select more then 1 from a small league, alot of those 2nd and 3rd place teams could play with anyone. Having 11 or 7 from 1 league is a joke.

I kind of see your point, but the Big East ended with 7 teams in the Top 25.LAglamrocker wrote: bias media wont select more then 1 from a small league, alot of those 2nd and 3rd place teams could play with anyone. Having 11 or 7 from 1 league is a joke.

Re: NCAA Tourney?
for the last few years friends and i have a pool on the cbs site.
this year i watched the least amount of college ball in forever.
i am so out of the loop and don't feel like studying brackets.
as long as duke and n. carolina don't win, i will be happy.

Ky. for it all!!!
But I do gotta give it up for fucking VCU. What a fuckin' team. I used to watch those guys all the time when they would play little Eastern Ky.
Oh and March Madness fucking rules. Can't believe noone here gives much of a shit for it. My favorite time of the yr. sports wise.

Re: NCAA Tourney?
Yeah, this Kentucky team has definately overachieved. They are a blast to watch though. Very unselfish team. Hopefully they can finish the job next week. GO CATS!!!
It's crazy that no #1 or #2 seeds made the Final Four. This has been a great tournament. Love all the upsets.

FYI:
I won my bracket(already).
Shows you how important not studying for March Madness is the key to
victory.

Re: NCAA Tourney?
Well, my Ky. Wildcats fell to Uconn by 1 friggin' pt. and VCU fell to Butler, making for the most boring, god-awful Championship game I have seen thus far in my lifetime. I don't know what was more lame: the game itself or the fact that I actually watched the entire damn thing.
Hell, I watched the last 5 min. of the women's championship game and it was only about 100 times better than the mens.
Next yr. might be a GREAT year for college basketball, depending on how many players return vs. going pro (and with the probability of a lockout coming, there might be a lot of players returning which will be a great thing IMO). Sullinger and Buford of Ohio St. have already said they are coming back. Harrison Barnes of N.Carolina seems to be leaning in that direction. Kemba Walker might come back for his senior season. Players returning, coupled w/some pretty kick-ass recruiting classes coming onboard should make next season pretty fucking awesome (if you dig college basketball anyways).
