Lions win & hopefully Stafford's tribute to Joey Harrington is a one week only performance.

I saw that, I have both Stafford and Johnson on my fantasy. Kevin Smith looked good.

Nice to see Christian Ponder looking like John Elway in the last 20 seconds while wearing the same number.

Against a supposed good defense of the Titans, Patriots O-Line may not be as bad as expected, the running game may be better than expected and the defense is certainly better than last year.

Me too, 1st and second round pick. Stafford will be benched for Ryan if he keeps this up.

Texans, Patriots, Broncos, Bears, and Niners all showed why they are early Super Bowl Favorites.

Eagles damn lucky to escape Cleveland.

Chris Johnson 5 yards rushing?

RGIII looked amazing. Luck showed promise. The other rookies, yikes.

Very curious to see what we are going to get out of the Chargers and Raiders. Second AFC wild card might come from one of those two.

Vikings and Ponder win in a gritty performance. I still say he might turn into a quarterback someday.
It's hard for me to get used to these changing times. I can remember when the air was clean and sex was dirty.

I think he is going to be very good. Kids got a set of stones, I know that.

Another thing i noticed.

Harrison Smith (rookie) makes a big pass deflection in OT on 3rd down.

Matt Kalil (Rookie) makes 2 huge blocks on Peterson's big run in OT to set up the winning FG.

Blair Walsh (Rookie) goes 4-4 including a 55 yarder to tie the game and the game winner in OT.

That draft already paid off.

I thought the Texans looked like crap other than a truly spectacular two minute stretch right before half time. I'm confident they'll straighten it out, but that really wasn't a very good game for Houston, particularly on offense.

After week 1, no telling which team is good enough
to win the SB

Oh, and A. Luck is not playing like a #1 overall pick.

Good points. In what could turn out to be another long year for the purple the youth on that team gives fans reason to believe better things are ahead. We didn't even mention the Kyle Rudolph coming out party.

Patriots first 2 draft picks (Chandler Jones and Donta Hightower) could be frighteningly good. Huge improvement from running back Stevan Ridley.

Packers defense looked the same as last year, which was my worst fear.
Can't rely on Rodgers to outgun everyone every game.
A proud Steve Jones nutswinger since 1977.

Chargers Defence looked good - but it was only the Raiders.
Chargers Offence looked tentative - no mistakes, but I want to see if they can still foot it in a shoot-out before guessing their prospects for the season.

Other than the very start, that was the best I've seen a Bears offense play in years. The pass defense is still pretty suspect though. In order for the cover two scheme to work, they need to get a bunch of pressure on the QB from the O-line. They only got to Luck once. That's not going to be good enough against guys like Rodgers. Thursday's gonna be a scary game.

Mike Tice is one the most underrated offensive minds in the NFL. When he was the Vikes coach, he always had good offenses, and learned offense from Denny Green.
