Honestly, one of the weirdest things I've seen in the last couple years, is social media running laps around even Sludge in terms of pure psychotic conflict. As fired up as people get here, it's nothing compared to the average political thread on FB.

The only real source of conflict here anymore is Trump. When the conversations turn to Trump, people start going for the throat (couldn't think of another idiom). When the topic is anything else--music, TV/film, maybe sports (don't pay attention)--it's downright civil.

Hasn't always been like that. Used to have 12 pages of naked hostility over Whitesnake. There are fewer people here, sure, but Trump really is the only topic these days that causes people to blow their stacks. If we look back on every suicide-by-mod over the last 10 years, how many are connected to a Trump discussion? Probably most of them, right?
