John seems like a good guy, and I am sure he's a great guitarist (I am not personally familiar with his playing) but just the height of his guitar alone should have disqualified him from being in Motley.

Last summer Motley played the North Dakota State fair. Vince was obviously vocally challenged but serviceable all evening. Watching this video, I agree with the other poster that stated the band finishing Residency up and calling it a day officially for Motley. Of course, Vince will continue traveling and playing every weekend or so.
